You may have a look at New_projects#WikiGlobalFS. It seems to be a generalization of this one. I also think that indexing topics is not a good idea. Indexing documents is better because a topic is not really content-related and referring to is not 'detailed' enough. But of course, using the WikiGlobalFS, you could attach a topic to a generalized central topic registry object *g* which would allow to do even reverse lookups.
