I actually think that this could be a decent idea… edit

…or at least a variation of it. MfDs of projects such as Esperanza, BJAODN, and countless others have resulted in a lot of factionalism. Even today, there seems to be a division between the “department of fun” and the “no fun police”, as made clear by the fact that en.wiki actually has to have official guidelines about what April Fools jokes are and aren’t appropriate. Since there’s so little space for editors to express themselves, a lot of the unique culture of Wiki-projects is buried away in talk page archives and abandoned user sandboxes. We need a sort of wiki where Wikimedia users can just chill out and take a break from building encyclopedias, dictionaries, textbooks, commonses, etc. I even have an idea for a subdomain that could work: community.wikimedia.org. 2001:569:BF37:5300:E83F:529:1C41:D24B 05:09, 22 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
