Talk:Various Wikipedian essays

Calling all discussion of ethics and morality 'personal views' is just absolute nonsense. If you define these views as hopelessly subjective and give up on ever finding common ground on them using words, then wikipedia itself must be a destructive conflict-causing endeavor - giving everyone ammo to shoot at each other with. Accordingly the three basic articles on ethics and morality have been restored to the main page as 'core issues'.

Anyone who contests this and claims that such views are always 'personal' is arguing in effect against civilization and culture, not to mention religion and law, so their view must be in the minority, or we wouldn't be here, dude.

So change the name of the page. Problem solved. -- Stephen Gilbert
There, I did it for you. This page is now Various Wikipedian essays. The title removes the implication that the essays contain idiosyncratic views, but maintains that they were written by Wikipedia participants. -- Stephen Gilbert 21:03 Nov 16, 2002 (UTC)

The problem with psychoanalyzing meaningful material edit

This POV essay was deleted. I suspect vandalism, because there is no other apparent reason why it should be removed. The problem is that I need this text, and I was wondering wether it was possible to retrieve it... Anyone? - User:Sigg3.net
