SoC proposal results edit

As far as ranking process is over I would like to ask some questions:

  • Is it possible to publish all proposals including comments and ranks?
  • What are the WMF plans for SoC 2007?
  • What are the WMF future directions and what rejected projects would be developed anyway?

  • No, we will not publish the >100 submissions. Believe me, it's not all the most exciting reading. ;)
  • We'll see.
  • We'll see.

it would be useful to the 98+ rejected students if you let them know how good they were... the reasons they were not accepted, how they were ranked, etc. i know its a lot of work but even brief comments will be highly useful

Well, one of the reasons can be found there... And what about future directions, afaik, they can be found on Summer of Code 2007 and as Brion's review in on Google video (200+ Mb).

What has Mediawiki done wrong that wikipedia:XWiki gets 4 projects, while Mediawiki gets only 2? Can we learn from this for next year? Axel Kittenberger 13:25, 29 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
