Uncertain

I’ve come back to read this proposal several times in the last few days, and watched to see if anyone else started a discussion that I could follow. However I’m afraid I just don’t understand what it means. If anyone thinks they have grasped the purpose and meaning of this proposal I’d really appreciate some pointers. Thanks. Thanks EllenCT. Reading it for the fifth time I see you’re right and I think it says ‘we want more people from more diverse backgrounds to be involved, so we need to be much more sensitive about many more things.’ That sounds true but I’d hope a strategy recommendation should suggest what specific changes or types of changes we need to make. Advocacy is not exclusive to Western cultures

The idea that "advocacy is a very Western concept" is a myth spread by elite historiographers. For example, records of Chinese peasant rebellions were suppressed by Confucians trying to win favor from their empires, and the scandal when they were brought back to light fueled popular support of the Communist revolution there.
