Talk:Statistics script
Part of my answer to Jakob Voss:
As for the raw data file: that is already done, not yet online though. It is a comma separated values (csv) file, containing all data.
Also for each column I will produce a comparison table in csv format that shows that column for all Wikipedias, e.g. total articles. These are useful for producing charts.
Currently I am working on html tables per item for all Wikipedias. They will be online soon.
I may produce an xml version as well, it is not difficult indeed.
I already produced some Excel charts myself in the past. Look at [1] You will find two comparison charts there. Those are not based on my new figures yet.
I plan to produce some bar charts automatically with the script as well. This can be done entirely in html.
I'm not sure what you mean by Wiki syntax. Complex tables are usually coded as html tables in the Wikipedia as well. Wiki syntax only allows for simple unordered, ordered and definitions lists right now. There has been discussion about extending wiki sytax to provide an alternative for html table syntax but it is not there yet.
