  • There are few more but BRPever and I can no longer find it like the one on french wikis and simple wikis. Afaik the pattern is addition of links crosswiki at least once per day.--AldNonymousBicara? 03:50, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
@Aldnonymous:   Added to Spam blacklist. When COIBot is a little more stable, we will try to get it to run the report. -- — billinghurst sDrewth 21:11, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
@Beetstra: I am surprised how this edit escaped the filter; it was made after the link was blacklisted. RainFall (talk) 07:47, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
@RainFall and Billinghurst: eh .. do we not blacklist because of the encoding? --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 07:58, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

Is it based on traditional/simplified encoding?--Cohaf (talk) 08:29, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
I have sneaking suspicion that it's because of the writing scripts (traditional chinese), not the link itself.--AldNonymousBicara? 08:37, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
The word can be Japanese too as per Wikitionary. --Cohaf (talk) 08:42, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

@RainFall, Billinghurst, Cohaf, and Aldnonymous: I have now implemented en:Special:AbuseFilter/976 just in case the rest of this does not work. Billinghurst, until then, maybe that filter should be made global? --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 11:40, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

test: 㥗釛.xsl.pt. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 11:40, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
@Billinghurst: ^^ all this obviously did not work: diff. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 11:42, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

Comment @Beetstra: Can you see what I am doing wrong with creating hexcode components? The phab ticket indicates that the latter methodologies should be working.  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:57, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

Done As a general tip, when testing a spamblacklist addition, make your test a url, not just plain text! Who would have thought?!? Don't do things really late.  — billinghurst sDrewth 12:19, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
Now working, thanks all--Cohaf (talk) 21:38, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

wikirigoler.over-blog.com

This is the blog of a globally banned user [16] (Foundation Global Ban), the blog is used to harass contributors and publish stolen private CU data. --Ribsela (talk) 10:15, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

@Ribsela:   Added to Spam blacklist. I ran some checks on it recently, so am happy to escalate this one. -- — billinghurst sDrewth 12:10, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
The only thing to note is that this will make archiving difficult, so frWP may need to look if they wish to whitelist the domain, then control its future addition by use of abusefilters.  — billinghurst sDrewth 12:16, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
@Billinghurst and Ribsela: or disable all the links, including those on talkpages (just take off the http://), so that archiving is not hindered. Every now and then I do that on en.wikipedia to get rid of archiving bots in the logs. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 18:12, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

Repeated edit-warring by IPs and SPAs at en:QAnon. Referred here per MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist#qanon.pub. —[AlanM1(talk)]— 04:29, 28 March 2019 (UTC)

Added to Spam blacklist; referred onwards to meta as reported to be global issue. Predominantly is enWP, though sufficient xwiki edits to indicate beginnings of wider problem. -- — billinghurst sDrewth 04:39, 28 March 2019 (UTC)

beacon.org

Hello, This is the first time I've encountered this issue with an E/L, so it was a real surprise to learn that the website for a major book publisher would be subject to a spam-block. I was trying to post a link for a new bio about writer Lorraine Hansberry in the Further reading section of her article. I sure would like to know what the reason is for the spam-listing, or was there perhaps a mistake. Thanks. Anomalous+0 (talk) 12:20, 5 March 2019 (UTC)

not globally blocked @Anomalous+0: as it isn't under out control. It is blocked at English Wikipedia, and then that action has been copied by bsWP, sqWP, srWP, taWp and urWP.   Defer to w:en:Mediawiki talk:spam-blacklist  — billinghurst sDrewth 12:33, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the info. I will take it there. Anomalous+0 (talk) 22:11, 5 March 2019 (UTC)

We have already make the content more useful for hearing lost people. We want to help them get more information about hearing lost by linking from relevant topic in wikipedia — The preceding unsigned comment was added by 27.66.104.71 (talk)

not globally blocked It would seem that your spamming has taken place at English Wikipedia and they have blocked you. You will need to address your issues with them.  — billinghurst sDrewth 09:42, 9 March 2019 (UTC)

tinyurl.com

The Wikidata Query Service has an integrated generator to create a short url to the query results using tinyurl.com. But these links are unusable in any wiki including Wikidata itself. But for queries a shorter is really needed to to not have 50KB links. --GPSLeo (talk) 18:37, 17 March 2019 (UTC)

@GPSLeo:   Declined Such a link is abused cross-wiki to be able to be removed from global blacklist. This has been discussed previously, both here and at WD, with possible solutions known to WD. Please refer to those discussions through this page's archives, the archives of WD Project chat, and the archives of WD's administrators' noticeboard.  — billinghurst sDrewth 20:08, 17 March 2019 (UTC)

visitsubotica.rs

It is blacklisted before 10 years, and I think to this should be removed from global blacklist, as it is The Official Tourism Website of Subotica. Subotica is city in Serbia. --Zoranzoki21 (talk) 22:32, 17 March 2019 (UTC)

Yes, and that was recognised in the XWiki report prior to it being added as it was being spammed. I would suggest that you should seek whitelisting at the wiki of interest, as an initial measure. I feel that this request would need a level of support to be removed when considering its history.  — billinghurst sDrewth 02:43, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
