The part from "Unfortunately, some …" on doesn’t seem to be German. So how can the translation be 100% complete? 84.150.254.149 12:18, 8 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

You can translate it here (it is linked from the top of the page at "Diese Seite ist eine übersetzte Version"). --MF-W 18:08, 8 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

German translation edit

The German translation doesn't make any sense. "Example~svwiktionary" is translated to "Max Mustermann~svwiktionary". Max Mustermann is a German placeholder name like John Doe in English, but I doubt that a German Max Mustermann would ever sign up to the Swedish Wikitionary. I'm not talking about the name Max Mustermann itself (it could be whatever name), but using a name which is clearly of German origin for this example about the Swedish Wiktionary is illogical. Why isn't just "example" translated literally to "Beispiel"? Most people don't use real names for Wikimedia accounts anyway. --2.245.105.85 17:35, 21 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

This doesn’t matter anymore, because the announcements have been sent already and there won’t be any more of it. This means that the page won’t be used anymore for any announcements. The text has been changed a bit at last in the German version, because there was something missing about global accounts and merging local accounts to it. Also, the users in the German wikipedia have got another text than the users in the German wiktionary or the German wikiversity. It can’t be changed now anymore, it’s just too late for it. So the users in the German wikipedia got better information than users in the other German wikis or users at Commons. The stewards and global renamers have now to deal with all the consequences and of course also Keegan (but more with the renames in other wikis). The text which has been sent can now be seen on the thousands of user talk pages in the wikis, for example here: de:BD:Ziege – also with a typo on each page in the word „Umbenennung“, but that’s the smallest problem now – so you see that it’s been a last minute change that this sentence has been added in the message. And here you can see the text which has been sent to the users in the German wikiversity: v:de:Benutzer Diskussion:New user message: They didn’t get this sentence and the information with the link to the global account at all, that’s the bigger problem now.
There’s also a link on the page de:Spezial:Benutzerkonten zusammenführen to Help:Unified login/de which at this time is just 62 % translated. This page absolutely needs a full translation and an actual page now. Perhaps also the English version should be checked again, if it’s actual enough for the translations. And it’s also possible to translate that wiht the tranlation tool without an account. :-) This can be done here and click onto the texts that shall be changed. By waiting a bit, there’ll appear a link to the differences in the English version, so you can see, what has been changed in the English version since the last update of the translation. Sometimes it’s just a word that has been changed, and everybody sees the English text instead of the German version. That’s not good. --Winternacht (talk) 01:08, 22 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
