PHP

edit

I was reminded that you can go to Special:Allmessages and hit PHP, and get PHP-format of what is in the MediaWiki: namespace. Srl 08:34, 12 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

The link for Basic Introduction to CVS and SourceForge.net is broken. Couldn't find the correct link either.

Unable to understand the procedure

edit

I do not know whether I am damp or something, but I don't seem to follow the procedure. The "what is to be done" seems pretty clear, but the "how of it" seems pretty vague to me. In Getting lastest file for example, it is stated:

You will have to get the latest language file using the CVS repository:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/wikipedia login.

It is not clear to me where the CVS repository is, and where do I enter the command line. Perhaps, a link to another article that describes the "how-to" in detail will be helpful. Hopefully, I am not the only one who is lost, so many others will benefit. — PM Poon 14:06, 25 November 2005 (UTC).Reply

Update of How-to

edit

The Subversion is being used from this month, is anyone know how to make the instruction about exporting the file from SVN and make a diff about them? (Since the CVS is not used anymore)--Shinjiman 07:15, 10 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Context

edit

Is ther any easy way to see in what contexts the different messages are used? I usually try to guess at where they used before I translate so I can see them in context. --82.212.68.183 10:01, 13 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Language file does not exists

edit

What to do if language file for a language does not exists on http://svn.wikimedia.org/svnroot/mediawiki/trunk/phase3 ? -213.175.91.220 15:51, 8 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Outdated language files on Meta

edit

Currently, we read: "DO NOT use the language files from Meta: website, they are totally outdated." - How about deleting them, resp. re-linking them to the SVN Web tool? Or do they serve any documentational purpose concering past times? -- Purodha Blissenbach 10:14, 3 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Algunas instrucciones útiles para gestionar nuevos usuarios desarrolladores

edit

         o Establecer el servidor apropiado: set server [NOMBRE_SERVIDOR]
         o Lanzar la tarea: run task for component GenNewDb server SERVIDOR
   * Preparación para la extracción de la base de datos:
         o Es posible realizar este paso sin necesidad de acceder a la aplicación y navegar hasta la vista Preferencias del Sistema en Administración de la solicitud (anteriormente llamada Administración de la aplicación). Para ello podemos actualizar la base de datos directamente, como se indica en el siguiente paso:
         o Update siebel.S_SYS_PREF p set p.val='TRUE' where p.sys_pref_cd='Docking:Transaction Logging';
         o Realizar commit
   * Extracción de la base de datos:
         o run task for component DbXtract server [SERVIDOR] with Client=[NOMBRE_USUARIO],ExtractRepos=True,errorflags=
   * Deshabilitar la extracción
         o Update siebel.S_SYS_PREF p set p.val='FALSE' where p.sys_pref_cd='Docking:Transaction Logging';
         o Realizar commit

Grammar

edit

Can anyone tell me how to use the magic word "GRAMMAR", and how to alter its settings for a given language? --Śiva24.225.240.52 21:47, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Don't understand the system

edit

I did download file and modified it now. But I quite don't understand what is

svn diff

I can help translating though. --Manop 08:10, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Got it now. Finally I figured it out. It works like a charm. --Manop 03:07, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

local vs. beta

edit

I wonder if someone could help. If I translate a command on betawiki and this command happens to already have a translation on the specific wiki (in this case lmo.wiki) will the betawiki version overrule teh local one? If not, does it mean I have to delete the local translation? Thanks very much. --Dakrismeno 13:33, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Answer to first question: No. Answer to second question: Yes. --UV 19:39, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
