Help
editAfter installation, how do I get the data from download.wikipedia.org into my CUR tables so I can test out MediaWiki
Help!
I'm using PHPmyAdmin and can't figure it out.
Thanks visoredge(at)yahoo.com
- Install MediaWiki
- Decompress the .sql.bz2 files with en:bzip2
- If you must use PHPmyAdmin, you have my sympathies. It does have an option for uploading a file of SQL commands to be executed; you may try and use this but you will very likely exceed PHP's maximum upload size. Configure that if possible (though if you can do that, you can probably use the normal mysql command-line client.)
My very own branch
editI would really like to create my own CVS branch of MediaWiki 1.3.x This way I can develop off this branch and then synch MediaWiki code base with my own as new bits are established stable. Could someone give me some pointers or direct me to some resources on this topic? Thanks.. Aaron
Public cvs slow
editThe cvs at sf is rather slow, would it be possibl if wikimedia move the repository to another place? (for example berlios.de etc...), also, would it be possible to start a svn? AzaToth 19:34, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
- I'm trying to checkout mediawiki software from sourceforge.net CVS, but the only thing I get is a timeout. Is there some plans to move or mirror this CVS to allow anonymous access ?

Table of Contents Hiding Code
editThe table of contents is hiding code on this page. I imagine that the CSS style for the "code" quotes is set to width 100%, but does not consider the space the TOC takes up.
Broken Link
editThis external link for SourceForge.net is broken: Basic Introduction to CVS and SourceForge.net (SF.net) Project CVS Services --- could someone fix it?
