Talk:Learning patterns/Short reports go a long way

Query: what does "endorse this pattern" (blue button) mean? Pattern?

Suggestion: if the grey-text side-box is intended to be some kind of executive summary, the basic message, may I suggest something shorter and punchier? Rather than following the structure of the first two sections, I'd not rehash problem and solution. Just something like this:

It can be hard to write a good report on complex projects in which multiple people are responsible for individual activities. Our tips:

  • Ask individual participants beforehand to collect the relevant information during an activity, or shortly after it ends.
  • Give them a brief idea of what kind of information and how much detail.
  • Contact them shortly after their activity is finished to encourage them to give you the information.

Also, it's in a box, so roman would be better than harder-to-read italic slabs.
