Two remarks

Hi STei (WMF) and team. The first two blocks of questions are a bit misleading: At first, you are not asked if it really makes sense to have a “report an incident” button at that please. Looking at it from an editor perspective, the much, much more used “edit” button is now hidden behind a “menu” button. This will slow down a vast majority of activities within normal treatment of sections. Instead, similar to the current ”[Edit|Edit section]” another pipe with something like “report” makes much more sense than having a “menu“ button at all. Obviously, that is my own perception but should have been asked first in the survey. — Apropos “report”. Within the framework of the questionnaire, it makes sense that “report” means “reporting something”. However, we can find numerous sections even on talk pages where the word “report” could way more easily understood as “report of something”, e.g. when you read the section “Incident Reporting System/Minimum Viable Product User Testing” a menu item, I would expect from reading “report” a link to a summary similar to this page. Obviously, this only affects languages where nouns and verbs can look similar (e.g., not in my native German language ;)). However, I want to encourage you to look for an English term which is less ambigous than “report”. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 12:09, 3 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
