How about improveing the wikipedia shop (ie moveing it off cafepress)? With the aparent power of the wikipedia brand there should be some reasonable fundraiseing opertunities there.Geni 13:54, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- I've suggested this before too, but the specifics are a bit tough. We'd need to have someone volunteer to run the store, but most people wouldn't want to just give their personal info to just one person, and the foundation probably wouldn't want to give access to all these funds to just one person. See Fundraising ideas/Cafe Press#Print-On-Demand or not? for a bit of this discussion. --Rory096 22:22, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- I know but there are other options such as say thinkgeek.Geni 22:31, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Jinx does some things like this too. - Cohesion 06:01, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- True, but having a relationship with a third party like that (unlike cafepress, in which we're one of thousands of stores) could be said by some to compromise our NPOV. --Rory096 19:39, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
