Please join the exclusionist party . You know it makes sense!!

Bloat edit

I would like User:The_Rain_Man to explictly state what "precious content" I am removing in my reductions. I certainly hope it's not the link to his fanclub, which contains personal photos of him. I also think the motto and imperative are quite shoddy. Let's come to a middle ground where we keep the really important stuff, but come on, let's keep the garbage excluded. 68.6.183.212 15:48, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I agree with excluding the bloat, but why did the link to our wonderful association disappear? Zanaq 17:22, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi 68.6.183.212 ! I don't know what link to "my personal fan club" you're talking about. But we should save an unneccesary talk about that. The special thing about Exclusionism used to be that you could be an inclusionist and an exclusionist at the same time. But it's also a kind of Deletionism. That's the clue. I have fixed it, minimizing the rest. See you! - Sebastian 20:40, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

joke edit

why has the joke been excluded? Don't confuse exclusionism with minimalism: the good stuff is supposed to remain. Zanaq 15:01, 27 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Motto edit

It does a moderately strong inclusionist's heart good to see that the following motto, interjected as a mild jest into the Exclusionism article, lasted 25 days before being removed by 83.236.78.61:

La perfection est atteinte, non pas lorsqu'il n'y a plus rien à ajouter, mais lorsqu'il n'y a plus rien à retirer. Antoine de Saint-Exupery (1900 - 1944) (Translation: Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.)

Apparently exclusionists do have a sense of humor... Cheers - Williamborg 20:41, 29 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've put it back. thanx. Zanaq 08:34, 4 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

German translation edit

Please add a link to Exklusionismus, thx. --84.58.15.238 19:07, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Grammar edit

Hmm. Now that this page is locked, a mere editor cannot correct the grammatical error in this sentence: "An exclusionist would be more likely to delete rather than attempt to modify anything they saw as not NPOV." Yours, 69.110.212.87 15:55, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Apparently exclusionists believe the indefinite article is irrelevant or extraneous: "Exclusionism is philosophy held by some Wikipedians." User: arg11, 14:51, 16 June 2009.

Exclusionism conservatism edit

A typically conservative movement ideology....exclude everyone from your exclusive little "elite" clubs like RICKI PEED HERE but then bending the rules for their own...eg f&f etc ..elitism and cronyism are undemocratic and rikipeedhere is swarming with parasitic self-serving little gatekeepers Curiosity Piqued 87 (talk) 20:09, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
