Senior Manager, Global Marketing
As Senior Manager, Marketing you will be responsible for:
- Generating growth in Wikipedia readers and editors worldwide
- Increasing Wikipedia daily engagement across regions, languages, and cultures through paid and organic media channels.
- Building affinity and loyalty to the Wikipedia brand
This job posting is not aligned with the Wikimedia Foundation mission and should be revised. WMF exists to promote free knowledge and all the Wikimedia projects, not just Wikipedia. The Wikipedia brand is not a goal to itself. Several others points in this job posting are also quite misleading: reading about "content strategy" and "Own Wikipedia's social footprint and digital strategy" after such an introduction, what will one understand?

- I don't understand the question. But regarding the job posting, an individual's role can certainly be focused on a smaller set of objectives than the entire Wikimedia mission, and that often is the case. Heather Walls (WMF) (talk) 04:09, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
