Two Three Four accounts?
edit
I'm sorry to insist on this but just to be clear. She signed as User:Ocastro at Wiki Sampa 12 so it means that she will use two accounts? Thanks!OTAVIO1981 (talk) 16:38, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, Otavio. Oona has created a Wikipedia account (as any volunteer does here) called oonacastro, similar to my everton137 account. When we start working to Wikimedia Foundation, another institutional account is created, usually the first letter name followed by the last surname, in this case, ocastro (mine is ezalvarenga). So for this reason the two accounts, one for the volunteer and other for WMF, for having access to things such as the internal wiki, email, yammer and so on. --Tom (talk) 11:27, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- Wait! Now, after reading the FAQ for a while, I've seen there is a third account, haha! This one with "_(WMF)" at its end. What is it for? I think weird to have such suffix and it wouldn't be necessary, in my opinion. --Tom (talk) 11:37, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- We are working on getting this tidied up, just need to decide on the preferred name. She'll be back to two shortly. A personal one for non-WMF (oonacastro) things she might do and a work one. --Barry Newstead (WMF)
- OK, I understood. --Ezalvarenga (talk) 01:15, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
- Hi guys, I've redirected Oona WMF to Ocastro account. My previous accounts were Oona (from 2005) and oonacastro (more recent) - for personal editions, should I use Oona username and give up oonacastro account? --Oona (WMF) (talk)
- I like simply oona, but I think you should decide. And c'mon, you have an account from 2005?! You should be proud of it! Mine is from 2006, you won on that. :P --Tom (talk) 04:07, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
- Here it goes with Oona, Tom. This is my personal account. So I'll keep Oona (WMF) for work. Just checked my first and single edition was in 2008, and not 2005. I'm pretty sure I edited some that year, while I was working for VisitBritain - but now can't remember if as anonymus. Oona (talk) 09:09, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

:) OK, Oona. I still think weird having this "_(WMF)" in the login. Maybe in the name I think it can be understandable (though I still think it isn't necessary), but it's up to WMF to decide this, I think. If we are working with the Wikimedia community for WMF, in my opinion having a description in the user page is enough - ops, I think I haven't done that yet. --Tom (talk) 14:17, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
