Talk:Association of Metapedianist Wikipedians
AMW acronym
editWhat should our acronym or abbreviation be? The mergists already have AMW. I have also now found the moral Wikipedians (AMW again). Greeves 17:27, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- MAW? Metapedianist Association of Wikipedia. Bdlawnic 22:57, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- That could work, but in one sense we should follow the standards used by everyone else. Greeves 04:36, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- AMpW? 68.101.228.98 22:17, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
I have changed AMW to a disambugation page as opposed to a redirect to the mergists so that should settle everything. Greeves 14:30, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- That will settle it for the Moralist Wikipedians as well. That said, they don't even have an official page yet, Blockinblox is keeping it on his. I'm not sure if they had an article and it was removed or if he's making it there to refine it prior to launching a main article. Tyciol 18:41, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- How about AMWP? I mean, usually Wikipedia is shortened to WP. Leujohn (talk) 09:00, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Logo
editI think that we need a logo. I was thinking something like gears with smiley faces (gears representing the inner-workings of Wikipedia and the smiley faces representing the community). Greeves 16:48, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- That's a good idea, a logo could also be the basis for creating a userbox. Tyciol 18:41, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Founder retired
editTracking Greeves back to his WP Userpage, I note he is retired. Perhaps this explains why so little follow-up to this potentially interesting movement. Bricaniwi 02:13, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Forward into the year 2023
editHello. I am not a metapedian but I am paying a visit. Is someone around here in 2023? Regards, --Thinker78 (talk) 05:08, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
