Election or appointment
I noticed that the subject of announcements like mailarchive:wikimedia-l/2020-July/095256.html and mailarchive:wikimedia-l/2020-January/094216.html talk contain the term "elections" for the Affiliations Committee. The Affiliations Committee Charter is clear that technically it's a selection for self-appointed membership. As far as I can look in the archives, the announcements were always about selections and appointments. Is this change in communication intentional? Nemo 07:08, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
