Talk:ACL for pages
Latest comment: 17 years ago by Nitpicker in topic One example with commentary
Has this been figured out?
so....does this exist??? edit
sounds like someone was thinking about it, but did it ever happen?
is it possible to use .htaccess as a make-shift ACL? edit
I don't know the inter-workings of wikimedia, but if it's using the filesystem directory structure... than it should be possible to use .ht{access, passwd} to implement page restrictions. my first guess is it uses a database. Even then, it should be possible to create users & groups, but then some wikimedia code would be needed for enforcement.
