Reason: Current username contains real name, would like to use a pseudonym instead. Request with tool was rejected with the reason "Emoticons as nickname are not allowed" but did not give a url to the global policy stating that this is not allowed. If the character is not allowed, can a policy be provided. Thanks!
Not done@Davidwbarratt:The username "🍠" is not allowed to prevent confusing or spoofed usernames: Contains unassigned character "🍠" (U+1F360) — per your home Wikipedia's username policy. So please choose another username. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 02:50, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
@علاء: Looks like they registered target username before request. So should we do usurpation now? as they have less than 400 edits, but it looks like they had a misunderstanding. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 19:06, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
@Robert Hesen: As you said that you have access to both accounts. So please confirm by signing below my comment using Robynosk account. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 12:28, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
Not done no response since more than days --Alaa :)..! 17:02, 9 June 2018 (UTC)
Reason: I'm almost sure the Itorres account was made by me by accident, I could give different domains and email addresses I have used in the last years to check. itorres is my handler in many other places (Twitter, Github, my personal domain name) and I'd rather settle on it.
@Ignacio.torres:: did you try recovering your old account using any of those email addresses? — YerpoEh? 05:34, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
@Yerpo:: I tried several of them. There is a limit of one recovery every 24h which makes the process cumbersome. — Ignacio.torresEh? 12:32, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
@Ignacio.torres:: perhaps somebody else will come up with a more elegant solution, but for now, I can only advise you to go through the regular process of usurpation, using en:Template:Usurpation requested on en:User talk:Itorres. After a week, during which there will be no protest from the old account (since it belongs to you as well), it will be renamed away. Renamers don't have access to logs and login details, so providing those data wouldn't help. — YerpoEh? 16:02, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
@Yerpo:: Yes, let's follow the regular process. Thanks a lot for your support — Ignacio.torresEh? 18:07, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
Reason: I requested 'J. E. C. E.' on 16 August 2008 in an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, but received no response. As I explained at the time, ". . . the account 'Jece' was created 23:26, 27 July 2006 and I was not allowed to create a simmilar account. The account 'Jece' has made a single log other than creating his account. . . ." At the time I was an IP user, active from at least 30 November 2006 to 27 July 2010. I probably would have requested 'JECE' back then, but ultimately requested 'J. E. C. E.' in my e-mail since I must have assumed that 'JECE' was too similar a username to 'Jece' to get approved. When I returned to editing Wikipedia in November 2017, I again requested the username 'J. E. C. E.' because 'JECE' was already taken by an account with zero edits and there appeared to be no way to usurp an account when you didn't have an account of your own. (I notice now that a new 'Jece' account from the Russian Wikipedia also exists that must have replaced the old 'Jece' account when the Unified Login was introduced. I'm not sure what happened to the original 'Jece' account, but the Russian account has been inactive since 2015. In any case, I am interested in usurping 'JECE', in all caps, not 'Jece'.)
On hold until 29 June, 2018. Target user notified. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 04:48, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
So what happens tomorrow? Is there a way to automatically edit all my talk signatures across wikis? --J. E. C. E. (talk) 20:04, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
@J. E. C. E.: No signatures can't be changed, but user page, talk and contributions will be moved to new name. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 00:59, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
So I have to do it manually, oh well. I wish there was a sort of find-and-replace function that searches the full code in a wiki. That feature doesn't already exist as a gadget or something? --J. E. C. E. (talk) 02:38, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
@J. E. C. E.: You don't need to that, when someone will click on your old sign, they will be automatically forwarded to your new userpage or talk. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 02:41, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, I know, but I have my reasons. I'll start here (though in this section I'll just change the background links to avoid confusion). I plan to request that those redirects be deleted too once I finish. Thanks! --JECE (talk) 13:14, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
