Reason: Some people think that I'm female because of my user name. Therefore I want to change it. My request was rejected with formulation "Your account is blocked on the russian Wikipedia". But my main activity is in Ukrainian wiki, I have no plans to participate in Russian wiki more. --Yelysavet (talk) 13:57, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
@Yelysavet: The problem here that you blocked in ruwiki due to use sock puppetry! so we can't change your name. I think you should request to unblock you in ruwiki! --Alaa :)..! 17:28, 18 October 2017 (UTC)

Reason: I would like to remove my surname from my username while retaining my given name. There is conflicting information on the availability of the username "Geordie". If an account with this username exists, it has a very low profile, with no or possibly a single edit. Thank-you for considering this request.
en.wikpedia.org indicates the account is no longer registered and had zero edits: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Geordie
"User account 'Geordie' is not registered.
This user has been renamed. The rename log is provided below for reference.
2015-04-21T10:46:12 Maintenance script (talk | contribs) renamed user Geordie (0 edits) to Geordie~enwiki (SUL finalization)
Wikipedia does not have a user page with this exact name.
In general, this page should be created and edited by User:Geordie. If in doubt, please verify that "Geordie" exists.
Start the User:Geordie page.
Search for "User:Geordie" in existing pages of namespace User.
Special:CentralAuth indicates there is an account with a single edit and the username "Geordie", on no-wikipedia.org:
"Global account information
Registered: 2015-03-16T18:52:50 (2 years ago)

Number of attached accounts: 1
List of local accounts
Local wiki Attached on Method Blocked Edit count Groups
no.wikipedia.org 2015-03-16T18:52:50 home wiki(?) — 1"
Lastly, no.wikipedia.org indicates that the username "Geordie" is available (translated): https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruker:Geordie
Wikipedia has no article with this name.
You can see if it is in Norwegian, Swedish or Danish.

Just a small note for clarification: the message "User: Geordie ... Wikipedia has no article with this name ..." means only that the user hasn't created their user page (yet), and doesn't imply availability. But that doesn't matter because the user is not active, so the name can be usurped in any case. — YerpoEh? 11:02, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for the information.geordie 03:04, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
A confirmation message can be found on the talk pages for each account on the corresponding wiki. // "Kontos~ltwiki" is apparently registered on more than one wiki; it should only be renamed at lt.wikipedia.org.
Reason: There is an account registered on fr.wiki and hu.wiki. One has not made any contributions. The other user has been inactive since 2006. They have made quite a few contributions but the majority have since been deleted, overwritten or altered.
علاء: I don't believe the account is eligible for usurpation--appears to have valid edits on fr.wikipedia. But to check with a renamer, I'm pinging علاء for discussion. It's been about seven days now--I think the user would like a response to his request for usurpation. Thanks. Atcovi(Talk - Contribs) 14:36, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
Thanks @Atcovi: for pinging. Not done as mentioned here that user accounts may be usurped if it does not have any edits except deleted, but Mickey have valid edits in fr.wiki --Alaa :)..! 16:50, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
Reason: Not satisfied with current name.@علاء: i have more than 450 edits. New username is already taken, but the account did only 3 edits and has been inactive for 12 years.--کیامنش (talk) 16:21, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

Reason: Jdcounselling is my old account used when I was at Ohio University, USA(2006). I have used Dr.Khatmando for the last two years. My old IT consultant at Ohio noticed that I had left login details of my old account on machines at the university. I would like to move anything associated with Jdcounselling to Dr.Khatmando to keep the editing statistics together and make account manageable easier. I have left notifications at both user pages for over 2months
@Jdcounselling and Dr.khatmando: You realize that we cannot merge the two accounts, correct? What you are asking for right now would move the "Jdcounselling" username to "Dr.khatmando" and "Dr.khatmando" to something like "Dr.khatmando (usurped)". They would remain two separate user accounts. Please confirm whether this is what you intended. Ks0stm(T•C•G•E) 15:28, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
Ks0stm Thank you for your guidance. Yes I note that two accounts cannot be merged. Before you action this. Can I confirm that the account Dr.khatmando would have at least the join Wikipedia date changed to that of the earlier account Jdcounselling, and anything thereafter I do on Wikipedia associated with Dr.Khatmando (of course if I was logged in under this account)? My apologies for being tedious. I've some mild dispraxia and dyslexia so I wan't to be sure I'm asking for something to be done in the "direction" I want in my mind, if that makes sense? Dr.khatmando (talk) 23:34, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
Sorry for my tardiness. I would like to know if after moving the account Jdcounselling to Dr.khatmando, the edit statistics and join date of the Jdcounselling account would be associated with the Dr.khatmando account. Cheers, Dr.khatmando (talk) 01:18, 1 September 2017 (UTC)
@Dr.khatmando: yes of course, the logs of Jdcounselling name well be moved to Dr.khatmando name, can we start the rename process now? --Alaa :)..! 08:46, 1 September 2017 (UTC)
My apologies Alaa for my tardiness. Yes please start the process. I do appreciate your patience and attention to my request. Warm regards Dr.khatmando (talk) 11:16, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
@Dr.khatmando: the vast majority of your live edits are on the Dr.khatmando account. You can simply redirect the user and talk pages of your Jdcounselling account to the pages of Dr.khatmando if you wish them to be associated. – Ajraddatz (talk) 17:42, 7 October 2017 (UTC)

Reason: I'm the owner of those two accounts, and I'd like to merge them. The old one was created in 2007 on the English wikipedia and has a bunch of contributions on a single talk page, and the new one was created in 2013 on the French wikipedia and has no contributions. I'd like to keep the old contributions but with the new login. Thanks !
Reason: I would like to remove the "-I" from my username while retaining Kstorvik. I created the user "Kstorvik" on the Norwegian Wikipedia in December 2006 and I think it may be me that created an user named "Kstorvik" on the English Wikipedia too around that time. However, during this time I have lost track of which e-mail account I used and password.
During the single-user login renaming thing you did in 2015, my username on the Norwegian Wikipedia was changed first to "Kstorvik~nowiki" and then finalized to the global "Kstorvik-I". While the username from the English Wikipedia remained as "Kstorvik".
The "Kstorvik" account exist, as I have already explained, but have only a single edit from 2007.
I therefore request to usurp the "Kstorvik" username since it is not active, and btw; I think it may be mine anyway.
It is a combination of the first letter in my given name and the whole of my surname. I think this must be very much like the request from Mr. Birch further up on this page, is it not?
Thank-you for considering this request.
--Kstorvik-I (talk) 10:59, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

Reason: This is the name I use at some other wiki while the current one I've chosen by a mistake. If I understand correctly only a couple of small edits were made under the target name quite long ago. Initially I've put my request to Wikipedia:Changing_username/Usurpations, but the target user name belongs to a non-local account (see zh:User talk:Vadim).
The target account seems to have edits that are still available at zh.wikipedia, thus making the target account not eligible for usurpation. Is it possible you can chose another target account? Atcovi(Talk - Contribs) 11:00, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
No problem if it's not possible --Vadp (talk) 11:26, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
Reason: I originally created this account in 2015, when I was younger and had vastly different interests. To reflect the change in interests, I'd like to change my name. A quick look using the global account information thing has shown that the name was/is in use on the Spanish Wikipedia, however edits there are sparse and insignificant. The most 'recent' edit was in early 2009. The account in general also appears to be inactive, with it last being used in 2015. Also, the more I look at my username and its internal capital, the more gawky it looks to me.
@GammaRadiator: The username you have requested isn't eligible for usurpation; they have over 50 edits and they are not insignificant. Please pick a new name. —k6ka🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 02:33, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
@K6ka: In that case, change it to Rædwald. I think the name isn't taken... GammaRadiator (talk) 12:49, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
Reason: I thought better and I have decided to choose this new name, it is more of my preference (I do not like capital letters /"MIAW"/, it's like shouting). From the beginning I wanted to usurp the username "Miau", but the account has 40 valid editions. It was a bit complicated for me to choose a new name for this reason, but now I have decided . The username I'm requesting (Miaow) has an unconstructive single edit (it was reverted) in tr.wiki, and it's inactive. PS: sorry for my english. Regards!
