Reptilien.19831209BE1@wa.wiktionary

Hello. For the fourth year (1, 2, 3), I launched a vote to extend my admin and interface admin access for a year. See you in seven days for results. Regards. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Reptilien.19831209BE1 (talk) 21:46, 10 September 2020‎

Reptilien.19831209BE1, for interface admin rigths you have to have 2FA enabled. Please note that this also goes for your IA rights in other wikis you have, so I have to ask you to do this ASAP — the requirement is WMF imposed and we cannot do anything about it. Thank you. --Base (talk) 14:06, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
Base, I think it's now enabled. Reptilien.19831209BE1 (talk) 14:45, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
Reptilien.19831209BE1, thank you, it is, make sure to store your scratch codes well so that you don't lose them. The request is   Granted for 1 year to expire on 2021-09-11. Feel free to request 1.5–2 years next time. --Base (talk) 14:55, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
"make sure to store your scratch codes well so that you don't lose them", it's done ;-) About "Feel free to request 1.5–2 years next time", i will do it. Thanks for the quick reaction. Reptilien.19831209BE1 (talk) 15:04, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
Reptilien.19831209BE1, I have not noticed that you have actually just started your vote yesterday. It is supposed to run for 7 days. I do not want to remove your rights just to give them you back in 5 days, so could you just have the vote running for the remaning 5 days, please? Thank you --Base (talk) 15:11, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
No problem ! it's done. Reptilien.19831209BE1 (talk) 15:35, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

Engelseziekte@rue.wikipedia

No reaction from the community in 7 days. I would like to request interface administrator access as well. Engelseziekte (talk) 21:52, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

Granted for 6 months to expire on 2021-03-10. . Please create a separate vote for the interface administrator permissions, this one does not explicitly mentions them. Re #4 in your request, please remember that interface translations should be done on translatewiki: rather than locally. Also feel free to ask any questions, можна також українською :) --Base (talk) 22:17, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
Дякую! I mentioned the interface administrator rights in #3.1 if that helps. But if you think a separate vote would still be appropriate, let me know! Engelseziekte (talk) 23:55, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
Engelseziekte, it is better to have a separate vote in this case. Just the same way, 7 days and it is fine if no one responds. Please note, that you will also have to enable 2FA in order to get interface admin flag. --Base (talk) 13:35, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

Af420@ps.wikipedia

Hello, right now there is in no administrator in Pashto Wikipedia (pswiki). I'm the only active person with 5 previous terms of administration in Pashto Wikipedia (last one in july; 2020). I spent a lot of time in Pashto Wikipedia; to fix templates, creating new pages and help other users, and am also improving myself all the time, beside helping other. Thank you very much:-) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Af420 (talk) 08:27, 14 September 2020‎

I can see only one 3 months term. Ruslik (talk) 21:06, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
Af420, I also see only one 3 month term. I see that you've had different username, but I have failed finding records of you getting rights on the as well. Could you link to some evidence, please? Also, it seems that the discussion you have linked to is about your previous adminship. Please create a new 1 week vote in order to get a new tenure. Please make sure that the vote is properly linked from a local adminship page and/or Village Pump. Thanks! --Base (talk) 00:10, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi, i don't know, but i love changing my wiki name, so i have done that three times. My previous names was:

And yes i have been administrator for 2 terms with that name.

Se this Af420 (talk)

What you have linked to is the recentmost nomination, that one we have seen, but I've found at least one another of your adminships here, sorry for the confusion, logs are messy when renames are involved. That being said, please run a new vote, the one from April cannot be reused. --Base (talk) 11:18, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

I see that a new vote page was created: ps:ويکيپېډيا:د پازوالۍ لپاره غوښتنې/Af420/٢, I am going to process the request basing on it. --Base (talk) 04:19, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Af420,   Granted for 1 year to expire on 2021-09-25. . Thank you for your continuous work. P.S. It is curious that I fail to see you at ps:Special:ActiveUsers although you clearly have edits in the last 30 days and the guy voting for you shows there, perhaps a ticket needs to be filed on Phabricator about it. --Base (talk) 04:38, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

cliverbot@scowiki

This is my alternate account which will be used to make automated and semi-automated edits and admin actions, as approved by the community. It's important for such a bot to be created if we are to eventually clean up the mess described here. –MJLTalk 18:30, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Granted for 6 months to expire on 2021-03-18. . MJL, in other words your main account rights expire. P.S. I have 700k mainspace deletions on mkwiki with my bot account, but those were all redirects, I guess this beats it :) P.P.S. flood + sysop basically yield what bot + sysop would have, but perhaps you would want to pay SRB a visit for semantic reasons :). --Base (talk) 04:53, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
@Base: This is perfect; thank you! I don't think I'll ever reach 700k mainspace deletions thank gosh. :D –MJLTalk 06:38, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

ויקיג'אנקי@hewikivoyage

ויקיג'אנקי is the most active user in our little community. He has been serving as an sysop since 2013 and his permissions are going to be expired in a few days (along with his interface administrator permissions), and as always, he suceeded to get our coummunity support for another term. Please extend his permissions by another one year. DL3222 (talk) 10:38, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

Done. I've gone forward and given a permanent flag given the number of tenures they have served already. As mentioned below I've only applied this to regular administrator flag, pending new vote for interface administrator permissions. --Base (talk) 04:36, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

ჯეო@ka.wiktionary

I can't get what do you mean :)--ჯეო (talk) 18:04, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
ჯეო, it seems that the vote page is only linked from Solarkoid's talk page: wikt:ka:სპეციალური:WhatLinksHere/ვიქსიკონი:ადმინისტრატორების_არჩევნები/ჯეო/3. Normally we would expect it to be trancluded on wikt:ka:ვიქსიკონი:ადმინისტრატორების არჩევნები, but it seems that it wasn't (in fact it seems the page still has your older nomination there). We want to make sure that other community members have means to know that there is a vote running. --Base (talk) 00:16, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
I have messaged about elections to active users--ჯეო (talk) 07:12, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
It cannot be called an election, there is only one person who spoke about his candidacy and then against. This person doesn't fully know the specifics of projects, so I don’t think it was worth giving him the admin rights. P.S. also review the user's block history. --Mehman 97 07:52, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
Mehman97, one vote per se is enough, in fact even 0 votes is enough as long as there is no arguments against — that is a common situation in small wikis where there is literally no one to vote. That being said the votes if cast have to be pro candidacy. ჯეო, please do transclude the page as mentioned, and let the vote run for another 7 days since you do that, it is more transparent this way. --Base (talk) 11:14, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
@Base: There is only 1 admin in project, he last logged 1 years ago, there are no active users in this project except me--ჯეო (talk) 11:27, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
ჯეო, this does not matter, please do transclude the page properly and we will process the request in one week since that time. I also see that for example გიო ოქრო is active (and opposes your request), so your second statement is not true. --Base (talk) 04:17, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Not done The election was not started properly (ie. transcluded at the main page) => closing this request as not done. Feel free to fill a new one as long as you meet the requirements. --Martin Urbanec (talk) 15:27, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

Why aren't you able to log in with 2FA, LILOBJTOFU123? Having 2FA on for interface-adminship is a WMF-imposed requirement, so we cannot promote you without 2FA active. --Martin Urbanec (talk) 21:46, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
LILOBJTOFU123, could you answer? If you tell us what the exact issue with 2FA is perhaps we will be able to suggest something. We stewards are also WMF required to have it enabled after all :) --Base (talk) 10:59, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

This user has no actions 3 months ago.(2020-05-12T12:25:49(UTC) - 2020-08-17T12:06:020(UTC)) Please remove sysop rights according to the rules of the Japanese Wikipedia. Thanks.(The rule is that a person who has been inactive for three months will return his sysop rights if he or resumes activity afterwards.--Kamakura (talk) 00:54, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

Kamakura, the request is   Done. Thank you for your service! That being said, I see that there is an RfC, ja:Wikipedia:コメント依頼/Kamakura 20200904, going on arguing whether the automatic removal should be applied in your case. I have completed the request since it is you yourself who has submitted it, but bureaucrats should be free to revert this action if RfC eventually turns to a different conclusion. --Base (talk) 11:33, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

B20180@thwiki

Dear sir, Please remove my CU (CheckUser) right on th.wikipedia. Because I have been very busy in this time. Best regards, --B20180 (talk) 21:10, 17 September 2020 (UTC)

Comment w:th:Special:ListUsers/checkuser shows that B20180 is one of only 2 checkusers on thwiki, and per CheckUser policy#Appointing local Checkusers "On any wiki, there must be at least two users with CheckUser status, or none at all. This is so that they can mutually control and confirm their actions. In the case where only one CheckUser is left on a wiki (when the only other one retires, or is removed), the community must appoint a new CheckUser immediately (so that the number of CheckUsers is at least two)." - has a new checkuser been appointed? --DannyS712 (talk) 21:16, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
On hold for a day per practice. When your flag is removed, Geonuch's flag is also temporarily removed until a new checkuser is appointed. If thwiki community do not appoint a new checkuser, the checkuser system will be suspended until the community wishes. --Sotiale (talk) 03:36, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Both removed. One temporary until new appointed. — regards, Revi 15:59, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
My bad; I forgot rest of the world is September 18th yet (mine is 19th) and executed it. I will restore it on request of B20180 though. Apologies. — regards, Revi 16:06, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
I don't oppose his request and wish him good luck in busy time. :) I will wait until RfCU in next time. --Geonuch (talk) 16:32, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

magicknight94@viwiki

It's my honor to serve the community for nearly a decade, but after a considerable time of being semi-inactive, I think it is time for me to retire. Thanks.-- (talk) 04:38, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

On hold for a day, per practice. --Sotiale (talk) 08:25, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

Baba Tabita@sw.wikipedia

We voted for the first time a rule about removing inactive admins, removal of rights after 1 inactive year at swwiki, option to restore rigjts by consent of active admins after return to editing. Baba Tabita has been inactive. Kipala (talk) 10:40, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

@Kipala: Hello. Please show us a link to that policy and if the policy has recently been passed, let us know if your community has decided to apply it retroactively. --Sotiale (talk) 10:47, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
See above, i had damaged the format, now the link is visible again. Kipala (talk) 10:53, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
the voted policy is: A) Mkabidhi ambaye hajahariri kwa miezi 12 anaondolewa haki zake za ukabidhi; akirudi anaweza kurudishwa kwa mapatano ya wakabidhi waliopo. Kipala (talk) 10:57, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
@Kipala: Thanks. So you mean, the new policy apply retroactively, not a year from the time the new policy wes passed, right? --Sotiale (talk) 11:32, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
The decision was to remove those who were inactive one year before we decided on this (in this sense retroactive) and in the future. You see at the page part B) active admins to continue without limitaion. We have one case outstanding, user:Sj who was quiet for 2 years but edited once during our vote, so i asked him if he wants to continue at all. As it is usual culturally we tend to treat "elders" with respect. In the case of Baba Tabita he informed me over a year ago by email that he had to stop all wikipedia activities (see also his good-bye-note of Sept. 2018 on his personal page), but because he did not post here nor did we have a policy so far he remained.Kipala (talk) 12:30, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
OK. Done. --Sotiale (talk) 12:45, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

DannyS712@elwikinews

el.wikinews is currently inactive (see Proposals for closing projects/Soft close of Greek Wikinews and n:el:Special:RecentChanges) and the only admin is inactive (n:el:Special:Contributions/Glavkos). I'd like to be granted editor rights for a short while to try and tackle the backlog of pending changes. Some can obviously be accepted, eg around 100 pages where the pending edits result in no net change (https://el.wikinews.org/w/index.php?title=Κατηγορία:Αιτήματα_για_διαγραφή&diff=cur&oldid=6588), edits by CommonsDelinker (n:el:Special:Contributions/CommonsDelinker), simple image replacements (https://el.wikinews.org/w/index.php?title=Πρότυπο:Αλγερία&diff=cur&oldid=62894), etc. There does not appear to be a community to request the rights from (the site is soft-closed). Happy to answer any questions. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 16:44, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

Since the project is soft-closed and not closed, it does have a Café. I would prefer if you drop a note there, especially since you seem to be el-0 (although I realise that the changes you are talking about do not really require any language knowledge). --Base (talk) 18:03, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

On hold till September 16. --Base (talk) 14:57, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

Granted for 1 month to expire on 2020-10-16. @DannyS712: I decided to grant this for a month, since wording of your request seems to indicate this should be only temporary assignment. --Martin Urbanec (talk) 10:32, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
Thanks. I've gone through and cleared out the backlog - most of it was from the migration to wikidata and managing interwiki links. I'm not going to try and process pages that were never reviewed in the first place, and there are a few pending changes I don't plan to accept because I'm not positive they are valid, so I'm   Done. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 18:55, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
