Global rollback for Zabe

The following request is closed. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
Not ending before 3 April 2021 21:21 UTC

Hey, I am active in the SWMT for some time now and I have made a few hundred actions in the course of vandalism fighting. Global rollback permissions would help me a lot doing crosswiki vandalism fighting.

Please note that I was renamed from ZabeMath to Zabe a few days ago.

  • I am a bit hesitant since I see no rollback experience in any content wikis. They recently became patroller here in meta, so would it not be better to collect some more experience since GR is truly global (which includes large wikis)?-BRP ever 11:29, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
I have editor permissions in dewiki, which contains rollback permissions. --Zabe (talk) 11:30, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

  •   Weak support Active in counter vandalism activities but only since February, so I am a bit hesitant to fully support but they seems a good candidate. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 13:32, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
  •   Oppose for now. I just don't see enough experience and I find GR to be one of the more sensitive global permissions since it also includes autopatrolled everywhere, but I also find it problematic that they don't appear to have rollbacker on any projects. Praxidicae (talk) 13:48, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
I was just made aware that it's bundled on dewiki, but my original points still stand, as I don't see sufficient experience with rollback in general. Praxidicae (talk) 13:52, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

Done as their request was supported by various users, and the concerns raised by Praxidicae are not shared by others. --Martin Urbanec (talk) 14:40, 4 April 2021 (UTC)

Global rollback for Jan Myšák

Not ending before 7 April 2021 13:33 UTC

Hi, this is my second request for GR rights, three months after my previous one was deemed premature. I am an active member of the SWMT and revert cross-wiki vandalism using SWViewer. I patrol on larger projects too, namely cswiki (sysop), wikidata (rollbacker) and enwiki (Twinkle user).

Best, --Jan Myšák (talk) 13:33, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

Support Clearly learned from the feedback of the first request, which is nice to see. I have seen many examples of his anti-vandalism efforts at my homewikis. The edit matrix is also OK to me, and I think he is good to go this time. Leaderboard (talk) 15:15, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
I would gladly   Support Jan Myšák, who has been a very helpful wikimedian looking after various wikis, reverting spam or requesting deletion of spam.

Global rollback for कन्हाई प्रसाद चौरसिया

The following request is closed. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
Not ending before 18 April 2021 15:43 UTC

I have been associated with Hindi Wikisource since January 2019 and am gradually getting involved with many language projects of Wikipedia. Although my editing has been more Hindi. I joined late as a member of SWT but my work has continued to function all wiki. While I am a Rollbacker on Hindi Wikipedia, I am using Twinkle prefence on all Wikipedia projects to prevent vandalism and to increase my contribution by making positive contributions on the lalanguages. So Global rollback permissions would help me a lot doing crosswiki vandalism fighting.

  •   Neutral Your contribution in Hindi-based projects isn't bad (and I don't see a problem having Hindi-based rollbackers), but I would like to see some more experience handling vandalism on more projects, because GR applies everywhere. Leaderboard (talk) 16:51, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
Sir, as I mentioned above, I am doing the work of removing vandalism with positive edits in various Hindi projects like Hindi Wikisource, Wikipedia, wikibooks, Wiktionary, wikiquote, wikivoyage etc. It will be in Hindi language, so there is no problem in removing vandalism. Will be. And speaking of languages, the person who knows Hindi is able to work in other languages like Bhojpuri, Maithili, Nepali, Punjabi languages, and I am from Bengal so I write a little - read Bengali and English. . And as a matter of experience, I have edited some improvements on every wiki, From which it can be known whether I am able to remove the vandalisam or not. - कन्हाई प्रसाद चौरसिया (talk) 18:23, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
  •   Neutral As you have said yourself, you have contributed mostly to the projects of Hindi and its surrounding languages as geographically in general. On your wikis with more than hundred edit, I see that you created a new page and edit categories with hotcat. I also specifically looked at your edits on wikis where less than your 20 edits. There are usually create new pages and some minor edits. I see on the GUC tool that you sometimes undo for non-constructive edits on some wikis. You have been more active since last month, but these are mostly on Hindi projects. These all contributions are good. But if you become a little more active in such edits on cross-wiki, why not? --Uncitoyentalk 15:28, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
Oppose I gave a chance with my neutral comment but as my personal reaction I change my opinion into oppose because of the serial non-justification support comments from non-very active Meta users. --Uncitoyentalk 18:03, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
Yes sir, you have rightly said that my edits at the global level have been low and I have been active for a month now. @Martin Urbanec: I welcome your thoughts Sir as well as I want to ask you as a prayer whether the block of a day goes away leaving a question mark forever. There is no way for him to move forward. Taking a look at the back of this blocked, sir, was this reason justified, due to which the blocked for one day was always the decision made by the manager, it is not right, it is not necessarily a mistake. it is such that you can see talk page due to some categories of discord / HERE] You do not get me wrong, Sir, I have no right, Sir, to prove myself right, I only wanted to tell the truth. @1997kB: I liked it Sir, you have given your opinion, yet I would like to say something Sir, as you said that I kept talking about my bad revert, but there has been some reason for this, I want to tell that I still edit from mobile whose You will never see a reason that a slight remorse leads to a wrong revert. This mistake was caused by my smart rollbacker which I also mentioned on my talk page. [1] And you mentioned that I myself mentioned about the rollbacker removal as well as the always blocked because when a person is proven to be wrong while blocking them for one day and can erase those whom he can make in such a way. Due to this, people are probably a victim of blockage. When I was blocked for a day for good work, I wrote down due to morale. When I saw that my actions seemed positive for three years and had faith but not today, I proposed to remove the rollbacker as well as block it forever. Otherwise who will be the person who will give up the question of renouncing their revert facilities and being blocked forever. I thought that now I will do global work, hence proposed here.-- कन्हाई प्रसाद चौरसिया (talk) 11:05, 17 April 2021 (UTC)

Global rollback for JavaHurricane

Greetings. I have been active in the SWMT and cross-wiki antivandalism over the last few months, using the filter log, TwinkleGlobal and SWViewer to combat vandals, LTAs and spammers. I already have rollback rights on enwiki and metawiki (through the patroller right) and have good experience with fighting vandalism. Global rollback for Daniuu

The following request is closed. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
Not ending before 28 April 2021 00:43 UTC

Hi, I'm Daniuu. I have been active in cross-wiki patrolling (doing SWMT work, reverting edits by LTA's, detecting cross-wiki abuse etc.) for a few months now. I'm using SWViewer, TwinkleGlobal and spam blacklist logs to detect vandalism and spam. I'm a sysop on the Dutch Wikipedia, and also hold rollback rights on both the English and Simple English Wikipedia. I'd like to request global rollback because it would allow me to do my work in a more efficient way (for example, it would allow me to use the rollback all gadget while reverting vandalism from LTA's, which can save a nice amount of work compared to undoing all edits separately). I am aware that the GR-permission is intended to be used for nothing else than fighting vandalism. I'm looking forward to recieve your feedback on this request. Global IP block exempt for Octahedron80

I live in Thailand but I got globally blocked (at the moment) with the reason "Open proxy" in the IP range 125.25.234.0/24 created by a steward. I do not use any open proxy in common practice. (But I still have to use VPN to work from home.) My IP is leased by ISP that matches the blocking range and it is not able to change on my own. So I hereby request the global IP block exempt for the account Octahedron80. I am also an administrator at Thai Wiktionary and I often contribute on other wikis. Hi, sometimes I get blocked from editing when using VPN with the reason using an open proxy. I use a VPN when visiting the website that get blocked (i.e. reddit) by government when I need to get the news from there and update Wikipedia articles. I often edit on (id|jv)(wiki|wiktionary), and less on Commons, Old Wikisource, and Wikidata for interlanguage linking. CAPTCHA exemptions for Elli

The following request is closed. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

(originally requested global rollback above before realizing this right would work for my use-case) I've recently been renaming a significant amount of files on Wikimedia Commons, which automatically tries to replace all uses of the old name with the new one. However, if blocked by say, a CAPTCHA, it instead adds it to a list to be processed by c:User:CommonsDelinker, which is not ideal. This right would allow me to skip those CAPTCHAs and replace the image directly, speeding things up. thanks, --Elli (talk) 03:28, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
