Requests for global rollback permissions

Global rollback for WhitePhosphorus

Not ending before 3 October 2019 10:41 UTC

Hello. For long time I disguise myself as a global rollbacker, but this time I want it to be true since the right can give me a more convenient experience especially when fighting against vandalism under poor network, and access to some handy tools like Huggle, mass rollback and SWViewer. Currently I serve as admin on zhwiki and zhwikibooks (together with zhwikiversity but there are few things to do till now) and have dealt with a lot of vandalism, some of which appear cross-wiki, for ~2 years. I also monitor small wikis via IRC & Telegram groups and have some experience in reverting vandalism/edit tests there. From those work, I feel that I have the capability to judge whether I shall confidently click the button to revert an edit or not even if I don't speak that language, so I hereby post this request to apply for the global rollback permission. Thank you! --WhitePhosphorus (talk) 10:41, 28 September 2019 (UTC)

Global rollback for Nieuwsgierige Gebruiker

Not ending before 27 October 2019 15:18 UTC

Hi there, I'm Nieuwsgierige Gebruiker. On some wiki 's (not all) am I a vandal fighter and it's look like me useful to have a global right and not local. So sometimes has the same user with the same IP-address or user name vandalize the page in more edits and I chose for the mass undo, but that can ask more time. Nieuwsgierige Gebruiker (talk) 15:18, 22 October 2019 (UTC)

Oppose No rollback experience, few edits in general and even fewer on projects without local procedures for granting rollback. I don't see a need, or the trust/experience required, to grand this userright. Thank you for volunteering, Vermont (talk) 15:21, 22 October 2019 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for Jess

I've been editing several wikimedia projects since 2009. I connect to the internet using a VPN, which has recently been blocked as an "open proxy". I'd like to have an exemption, so I can continue to edit while logged in. Thanks! --Jess (talk) 19:09, 27 September 2019 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for Pispor

Hi, I'm mostly active on Kurdish wikis. Other wikis are mostly fine but I can't access Wikipedia without VPN or proxies since I live in Turkey and as you probably already know it is banned here. I already got exempts on my local wikis. But since I got blocked globally I can't upload new media to commons and connect my articles via interwiki. And it is getting more and more frustrating not being able to do so as an eager newcomer(ish) wikian. Hoping you to grant a global exempt for all wikis as soon as possible, Thank you. --Pispor (talk) 15:20, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for Alneth

Well, due to the ongoing blockage of all editions of Wikipedia in mainland China since April, I have to use proxies to view or edit articles on Wikipedia. However, some proxies I'm currently using are globally blocked by some stewards on Meta due to potential vandalism, and that has caused some difficulties when I attempted to edit Wikipedia in other language editions (except Chinese edition because I've already got an IPBE flag on this project). Therefore, I would like to request a global IP block exemption flag on Meta, and I promise I'll not abuse the right. Thank you. /Merci beaucoup.
Question: And by the way, will the GIPBE flag be deprived if I don't edit on any Wikimedia projects for a long period (eg. 1 year or longer) once it is granted? (Because I'm a green hand, and I'm not familiar with policies regarding this...) Thanks and sincerely regards, --Alneth (talk) 17:56, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for Dvenwu

Limited by the extremely bad international interconnection at China, I have to use proxy servers that from several different providers to access the Internet including Wikipedia, which includes long-term banned Vultr, Linode, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud, Some of them have even been banned excessively with an exaggeration of /16 by some crazy robots, even HKCSL LTE international roaming for backup also very slow... To solve this problem, I'm applying for my own IP range and AS number that setup a BGP session, but on my phone or public devices(etc. Cybercafe,Library or government agencies) still need to using previous proxy, so I need to request for this permission, Thank --Dvenwu (talk) 01:52, 6 October 2019 (UTC)

That being said, 18zhanshagouzhi, could you be more considerate in the discussions? Usually it is a good idea to be quite polite as well as only add comments which are useful for the discussion at hand. 18zhanshagouzhi, no problem. I did not set an expiration so it is permanent (we might remove it eventually if you become inactive for a very long time though). Regarding PCR, sorry, it's a typo, I meant PRC, People's Republic of China. --Base (talk) 15:11, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for Daclements

I've been an occasional contributor for many years on Wikipedia, but lately owing to my use of VPNs, I have found myself in blocked IP ranges. I kindly request that I be made exempt from these restrictions. I invite you to view my very benign and helpful edits, thanks, --Daclements (talk) 19:39, 3 October 2019 (UTC)

You are more likely in need of a local IP block exemption in English Wikipedia. Ruslik (talk) 19:52, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
Daclements, could you comment on this please? Do you plan to actively edit other wikis than English Wikipedia? --Base (talk) 15:56, 22 October 2019 (UTC)
I do not intend to edit any wikis other than the English Wikipedia. An exemption for the English Wikipedia would suffice. --Daclements (talk) 19:03, 22 October 2019 (UTC)
You should take a look at this page then. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 10:30, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

I have not seen this user have a more active cross-wiki editing. Catherine Laurence (discussion) 09:34, 6 October 2019 (UTC)

@Catherine Laurence: I don't think that cross-wiki activities are essential especially when the requesting user is in China and is blocked for using WMF without VPNs. Znotch190711 (talk) 04:33, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
@Znotch190711: They can bypass the global ban by requesting for a local ipbe. I don't think it's worth giving gipbe to users who don't have a lot of cross wiki activities, especially those with very few editors. --Catherine Laurence (discussion) 04:40, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
@Catherine Laurence: All right, but does zhwiki have a clear IPBE rule? Znotch190711 (talk) 04:41, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
You can see w:zh:WP:IPBE. Catherine Laurence (discussion) 04:45, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
Clear enough, I understand Chinese, thanks. Znotch190711 (talk) 11:43, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
@Catherine Laurence: In case you didn't notice, it is quite hard to acquire IPBE on enwiki. And on the other hand, sysops of enwiki blocked locally quantities of IP ranges that were already blocked by Meta stewards. This is just a notice and comment, and should never be considered a tip or so. --Super Wang hates PC You hate, too? 09:10, 22 October 2019 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for 虹易

Hello. I live in Mainland China where the wicked enforce excessive Internet censorship. It is inevitable to use proxy/tunnel all day in order to keep stably connected to the international Internet. I have requested and been granted IPBE permission on zhwp and WikiData. But sometimes I also want to edit on other WM projects and it does take much effort to request IPBE on each of them. --虹易 (talk) 08:51, 25 October 2019 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for Xanadumarketing

Hi. We are building a website for brands to manage their professional identities across multiple media, including Wikipedia, and would like an exemption for our site. Our IP address is 23.111.181.43. Thanks in advance!. --Xanadumarketing (talk) 18:38, 28 October 2019 (UTC)

While I am not a steward, I'd like to point out that Wikipedia is not a venue for marketing or managing "..professional identities across multiple media, including Wikipedia..". I find it unlikely (and would not support) an IP-block exemption in this case. Waggie (talk) 18:47, 28 October 2019 (UTC)

Fixed the original broken request. BTW @Telyric: I think that global block won't affect registered users so you can edit normally except the wikis having that IP locally blocked (only ruwiki, ruwikiquote and nlwiki did so currently). --WhitePhosphorus (talk) 12:12, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

Global rename for Track13

Not ending before 3 October 2019 15:15 UTC

Hello everyone, I'm Track13. I'm mostly active on Russian Wikipedia, where I'm an active sysop and bureaucrat. There is no significant delay on ru:ВП:ПУЗ queue now, however, the majority of requests are handled by one renamer and I'd be happy to help. Also, I will be able to handle local requests on Belarusian wikis (be and be-tarask) if local communities want that. I've reviewed and understood the Global rename policy. Thank you for your time and comments. Track13 0_o 15:15, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
