Requests for global rollback permissions

Global rollback for Wagino 20100516

I want to help solve the global problem of vandalism and thus require adequate tools for the job, one of which is a global rollback tool because I could not ask for this tool in particular that Wikipedia does not currently apply to this feature, for example, Malay Wikipedia.

If you feel that I have not been feasible to obtain this tool, please criticism and give me positive suggestions to improve my future. I would also like to thank you profusely for supporting me. Sincerely. Wagino 20100516 15:20, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

  • Oppose, per your lack of cross-wiki activity. Most of your edits are on your user page, and I see very little edits in cross-wiki counter-vandalism. Savhñ 16:25, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
  • Oppose at this time. Take out the userspace creations (which aren't a problem, I sat down one morning I was bored and did it too) there's not much cross-wiki activity left to look at. Come back in a few months. Courcelles 19:28, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
  • Oppose - Per others, more xwiki experience is required for the global rollback tool. Demonstrate your ability to use undo across language barriers, and then come back here to request global rollback after a couple of months. Ajraddatz (Talk) 19:48, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

Global rollback for Krinkle

Krinkletalk 17:17, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

  • Hello, thanks for volunteering. What do you need the global rollback flag for? I don't see too much cross-wiki countervandalism in your global contributions. Ajraddatz (Talk) 17:19, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
    • Indeed, I haven't been active in cross-wiki vandalism recently. However during patrolling of nl-wikipedia, commons-wikimedia and #cvn-sw (which I've done for about 2 years, just got back from a 2-week wikibreak) I often come across cross-wiki vandals and ability to revert things cross-wiki would speed up this process. But if there is a required number of cross-wiki undo's of vandal edits, I'll come back later, no problem :) –Krinkletalk 17:32, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
      • You do have a few reverts across a few languages that I can see, but with toolserver being broken again I can't do much of a detailed check. In all honestly, there shouldn't be an issue; you are already trusted with editinterface globally, and have experience at a multilingual project. Ajraddatz (Talk) 17:34, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Global sysop for MF-Warburg

Hi. I'm practically involved in global vandal fighting since I became an SWMT member in 2007. I'm in the #cvn-sw channel daily to check for vandalism, i.e. reverting obvious nonsense and requesting speedy deletions. Especially for these, it would be very useful for me to have global sysop status to be able to delete them immediately. I am already a global rollbacker and run the bot which updates SRSD. Thank you for your consideration. --MF-W 16:41, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

Requests for global editinterface permissions

Global editinterface for タチコマ robot

Double redirects are generated when usernames are moved more than once. This generates scores of double redirecting .css and .js pages that end up dominating Special:Doubleredirects. An admin has to manually deal with them which is particularly problematic on smaller wikis were admins arent exactly active. This bot handles double redirect fixes on all but two wikis and this would be most helpful in that regard. In the case of smaller wikis where no active admin exists you end up wasting steward time over edits bots can handle. -- とある白い猫 chi? 21:57, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

  • Oppose, in my opinion not a justificated need for that flag. Double renamings are not that frequent, and the redirect could be deleted instead of corrected. Savhñ 07:32, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
  • Oppose per Savh. JS and CSS redirects are pages that most of the time have to be removed. The best would be to establish a list and to release it to each community so sysops could decide what to do with these pages. -- Quentinv57 (talk) 09:47, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
  • Oppose, per Quentinv57, furthermore this could end up in more and more bot owners asking for this flag just to fix stuff on protected pages - Hoo man (talk) 18:54, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for Ikh Sukhbaatar

Hi. I'm practically involved in helping the article about Selena Gomez on Kabardian Wikipedia constructively. Since Adyghe Wikipedia is not yet ready, we need more native speakers who write Adyghe in Cyrillic. I came to tell that Kabardian and Adyghe Wikipedia, although they need more native speakers, can become associated with WMRU, and Adyghe Wikipedia possibly become associated with Wikimedia Turkey in the future. So, Adyghe Wikipedia will share articles from Kabardian Wikipedia. --Ikh Sukhbaatar (talk) 01:02, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Hello Ikh Sukhbaatar, a global block exemption won't be granted if your IP address hasn't been globally blocked, so this request will probably be declined. Good luck with your work on the Adyghe and Kabardian Wikipedia! Kind regards, Mathonius (talk) 01:19, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
User:112.202.23.197, a shared IP, has no anonymous edits. I'm not a native speaker of Adyghe and Kabardian. --Ikh Sukhbaatar (talk) 01:35, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
Hello Ikh Sukhbaatar. I find it's very strange that your IP has also been used yesterday by somebody who on the contrary use to vandalize articles about Selena Gomez... May we know how many people do you share your IP with ? -- Quentinv57 (talk) 12:29, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
