Requests for global rollback permissions

Global rollback for Jafeluv

The following request is closed.

Hi, I'd like to request global rollback to help in crosswiki vandal-whacking. I'm an admin on enwiki so I'm familiar with the rollback tool and know when to use it and when not to. I'm also an active vandal fighter in the Finnish Wikipedia (the only reason I haven't requested rollback there is because it would be redundant with GR anyway). As for my crosswiki edits, my global contributions are a bit overwhelmed with unrelated edits like fixing interwiki links and replacing images, so I've provided some convenience links to examples of my crosswiki contributions below. Thank you for your consideration! Jafeluv 14:34, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

  • Contribution links: w:fi, q:en, w:da, q:es, v:es, q:fi, q:ru
  • Individual diffs on various wikis: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7]
  •   Support - User is plenty active cross-wiki and has the necessary experience and trust. –Juliancolton | Talk 15:57, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
  • No problems here. Jafeluv appears to have adequate cross-wiki experience. Tiptoety talk 17:27, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
  • No reason to oppose. I've found no problem on his reverting at en.wikiquote. --Aphaia 12:50, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Global rollback for Waihorace

The following request is closed.

Cross wiki countervandalism and anti-spam activities vand on zh.wikipedia, zh.wikinews and zh-yue.wikipedia .-HW 13:02, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

  • Unfortunately, it actually doesn't look like you have much experience with crosswiki anti-vandalism work. I'm sure everyone appreciates your offer to help, but perhaps a greater tenure as a small-wiki patroller would be good? –Juliancolton | Talk 21:07, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for your commet. -Waihorace 06:28, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

  •   Oppose I'm afraid. I'd like to see more experience patrolling small wikis outside of your home wiki. Please consider requesting the right again once you've gained some more experience. Sorry, FASTILY (TALK) 06:44, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Not done, per the comments above. We do appreciate your contributions, but they are mostly to Chinese projects. Because of that it would be better to request either rollback or administrator rights locally on those projects. --Erwin 19:40, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

Global rollback for MoiraMoira

The following request is closed.

Since 2006 I am an active admin on nl-wiki and often follow up cross wiki vandals (spam, vandalism only accounts, long time cross wiki vandal affairs) and revert all edits. Having global rollback makes matters much more easy work wise. MoiraMoira 07:15, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

Global rollback for I-20

The following request is closed.

Even though I'm fresh to the SWMT, I know the basics (rollbacker/reviewer at enwiki, rollbacker at simple, admin on some abandoned wikis at Wikia as OpenBSDWiki) I need the right to bypass CAPTCHAs and use the rollback tool to make the job faster. I-20the highway 02:10, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

  •   Oppose Sorry, but this seems rather obvious, even to me: 38(commons)+19(enbooks)+2(enversity)+74(simple) -- that's really not enough xwiki activity. Seb az86556 03:26, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
  •   Oppose I'm afraid not. You have little experience reverting cross-wiki vandalism. Sorry, FASTILY (TALK) 04:28, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
  • I'll   Oppose my self. The main rights I'd need can come later. I'm not fit yet. Stewards, please close. I'll come later. I-20the highway 05:52, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

Requests for global sysop permissions

Global sysop for Axpde

The following request is closed.

I'm sysop on commons trying to settle the caegories of bad named icons, duplicates and alike. Sometimes CommonsDelinker can't change occurances because pages are edit protected. Global sysop will help manually delinking in case of smaller projects. My SUL account is active on more than 300 projects, with edits on more than 120 projects. Regards axpdeHello! 15:05, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

  • Sorry, but global sysop is not really given out for the purpose you are requesting it for. As stated at Global Sysops, the flag is used as a global anti-vandalism tool to assist smaller projects that have few to no local administrators. Tiptoety talk 17:26, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
On my way half around the world and back I came across a lot of vandalism, global sysop will help me reducing this alot. On the other hand Global Sysops states it's for the purposes of routine maintenance as well. And that's what I initially requested it for. axpdeHello! 21:09, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
You may wish to consider requesting global rollback rights instead. -FASTILY (TALK) 06:45, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
But with global rollback I can't change protected files CD wasn't able to work on ... axpdeHello! 17:09, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Weak support. I don't think global sysop is really meant for this, but having a Commons sysop reach out to other projects to correct file names is a good thing. --Erwin 19:45, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

  • Interesting request. Can probably be categorized as "maintenance"... not sure though... Seb az86556 04:37, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
  •   Support -- In my opinion follows the spirit of the job in maintenance and would be helpful for the projects (and we've already approved deleted image viewing by commons admins by a huge margin so at least part of this is VERY approved) James (T C) 04:51, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Global sysop for Maximillion Pegasus

The following request is closed.

Hi all, I am Maximillion Pegasus. I'm a sysop on the English Wikisource, simplewiki and the Oldwikisource and am already a global rollbacker. I understand that global sysop is simply a tool for anti-vandalism and will never attempt to override local consensus. Thanks for your consideration. Maximillion Pegasus 23:13, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for user:Kegns

I am a sysop from zh.wikipedia. Because of the censorship of mainland China I need a global IP block exempt for editing with open proxy. Many thanks, --Kegns 05:49, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
