Global bot status requests

Global bot status for RobokoBot

Hi there, RobokoBot has over 233k edits globally since January 2015 and has the local flag on frwiki, frwiktionary, enwiktionary and jawiktionary. I'd like the global bot flag to maintain interlanguage links on other Wiktionaries. Thank you. --Thibaut120094 (talk) 02:43, 10 September 2016 (UTC)

  • What interwiki.py options do you use for wiktionaries? Thanks. —MarcoAurelio 15:37, 10 September 2016 (UTC)
Hi, I'm using -wiktionary -namespace:0 -autonomous -async. Regards. --Thibaut120094 (talk) 16:13, 10 September 2016 (UTC)
@MarcoAurelio: Does that answer your question? --Thibaut120094 (talk) 14:57, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
Sorry for the late reply, yes, it does answer my question. However global bot flags requests usually last some days to gauge comments from more users. Thank you, —MarcoAurelio 08:50, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
  • I am not sure if being active only on those projects qualify for "the bot must already be active on several wikis, with long-term contributions to back up its trustworthiness" (BP). I'd prefer more opinions here. —MarcoAurelio 08:52, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
But obviously "four wikis" ∈ "several wikis". Ruslik (talk) 20:19, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
I do not think that the spirit of the policy was that, judging on past requests, and think on "several" on much more projects. However since interwiki links are now reduced to wiktionaries, I don't have a strong opinion in this. It'd be good however if the bot owner could do a test run to see how the bot works. —MarcoAurelio 08:52, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
What kind of test run? I can do some edits on wikis where I don't have a local flag if you want. The bot will do the same task that it's already doing on some wiktionaries, nothing more, nothing less. Regards. --Thibaut120094 (talk) 14:09, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
Hello? --Thibaut120094 (talk) 23:17, 23 September 2016 (UTC)
@MarcoAurelio Ruslik (talk) 19:05, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
As I've said above, I have no strong opinion here. IMHO this fails the "several wikis" clause, but the circumnstances of the policy have changed a lot since too. —MarcoAurelio 11:29, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
I don't mind this being granted myself. We should probably revisit the global bot policy in light of Wikidata taking over most of the scope here. – Ajraddatz (talk) 18:25, 12 October 2016 (UTC)
Done In my opinion this is a valid case of the policy. Since there was no "hard" (I know this isn't the right word, but the correct one doesn't come to my mind) opposition here, I've granted the flag. --MF-W 22:09, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
Thank you. --Thibaut120094 (talk) 22:12, 22 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi Thibaut120094, regardless of the global bot flag you will need the local bot flag in dewikt, hewikt, hiwikt, hrwikt, iswikt, itwikt, liwikt, mrwikt, plwikt, rowikt and ruwikt because these Wiktionaries are not in the Wikiset for global bots. Try to request for the local bot flag in all these Wiktionaries. And then make also edits with your bot in these Wiktionaries. After a while the question of "several wikis" has settled. For German Wiktionary please request at de:wikt:Wiktionary:Bots/Anträge auf Botflag. Greetings from Austria --Udo T. (talk) 11:22, 21 October 2016 (UTC) (owner of UT-interwiki-Bot)

Yes I know all that. --Thibaut120094 (talk) 11:32, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

Approved with no oppose votes (community rules). I've not yet informed our only bureaucrat – would you mind if we skip this step so that the bot operator doesn't have to wait needlessly? He's been inactive since April (wikt:pl:Specjalna:Wkład/Tsca), another request was made in the meantime and steward action was needed anyway: Steward requests/Bot status/2016-06#UT-interwiki-Bot@plwiktionary. SM7Bot@mai.wikipedia

About a month ago I requested, it on local discussion page. But I was not much active in the mean time and somebody mistakenly declared it Done at that page. I thought some local admin might have placed the request and it is done. But today, I made some edits and found that I don't yet have the flag. Please allow me a bot flag on the basis of the same discussion. SM7 --talk-- 17:40, 16 October 2016 (UTC)

Removal of bot status

RaazaBot@hiwiki

This user is a new user. This is a mistake done by sysops of hiwiki that they didn't review this nomination. Now, user is agreed to get back this flag. If user will do some work with bot and it will be recognised, we would like to re-nominate him.☆★Sanjeev Kumar (talk) 06:18, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
