Background
This initiative has been designed to impart beginner, intermediate, and advanced level technical skills to Wikimedia volunteers promoting Kurdish culture and language across the world. It is a part of Small wiki toolkits initiative to help small wikis develop their capacities in various technical areas. This project is a collaboration between the WMF's Developer Advocacy team and Kurdish Wikimedians User Group.
Current Plan
A workshop is conducted every month on a technical topic that runs for 1-3 hours and can accommodate fifteen participants. Topics for each seminar are chosen by the organizing team, based on research, emerging interests or needs, and trainers' availability. Community members can also suggest topics on the workshops page. Occasionally, brainstorming sessions and discussions are conducted to understand the community's needs. |
