Some wikis force anons to use the preview button edit

Hi!

This might or not be relevant, but notice some wikis uses a small JavaScript code to force anons to use the preview button. See e.g. fr:w:MediaWiki:Common.js/edit.js and pt:wikibooks:MediaWiki:Gadget-ForcePreview.js. Helder 12:13, 3 October 2012 (UTC)

Interesting. I knew DE experimented with this, but my understanding is that it depresses anonymous contributions enough that they turned it off. Steven Walling (WMF) • talk 18:41, 3 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
Well, at least they disabled for a good reason. On Portuguese Wikipedia it was disabled only because they decided to force new users to solve a CAPTCHA for all edits (even those which do not include links), in January 2008. Helder 11:55, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
