Ukraine must have Wikipedia on uk:Харківський_правопис, as belorussian wikipedia on old language (Галоўная_старонка). Because many Ukrainians abroad speake and write on uk:Харківський_правопис.--Ffederal 23:27, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

  • Oppose It is the same language, just another dialect. In fact, Ukrainian Wikipedia has articles written in different dialects.--Krystofer (talk) 15:44, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Oppose It is the same language. --S.kostyushkin (talk) 10:08, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Oppose. Formally speaking, the existing language policy doesn't allow similar projects in the same language with a single ISO code, which doesn't exist for the proposed norm. Secondly, the example of two separate Belarusian wikipedias, whose competition results in lower perspectives and putting potential speakers off contributing to either must be a legitimate reason to give up the idea. By the way, the page title is inconsistent with the proposal, are we discussing Wikipedia or Wikiversity? Microcell (talk) 20:21, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Oppose. It is the same language, it's not even a dialect. This is only the orthography, one of the many historical cyrillic orthographys of ukrainian language. And nobody, in Ukraine speaks Харківський orthography, and wery wery seldon, it's used for writing.--Leonst (talk) 15:32, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
