This proposal has been rejected. This decision was taken by the language committee in accordance with the Language proposal policy based on the discussion on this page. The closing committee member provided the following comment: The proposal needs to have a sufficient number of living native speakers that can sustain a project. Wikisource currently fulfills a fine role in collecting all the published works of the present and past. With its language subdomains, it spans across many languages to preserve our cultural heritage.

But for data without any actual text, there is currently no place on all of Wikimedia. Stuff such as Unicode tables, construction guides, public transit schedules, etc. don't fit anywhere. Wikisource will reject those, they don't quite fit on Wikibooks either and are commonly deleted from Wikipedia as well. However, these are arguably as important to the world as literary works, so it would be a shame to exclude them from Wikisource. Therefore, I propose to create a Wikisource in the "No linguistic content" language to preserve these fine works. -- Prince Kassad 09:45, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
