According to Ethnologue Polabian is an extinct language. GerardM 21:57, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- So are some others, sometimes cause they was forbidden. If this language gets some supporters from the region it can work. --Peter Littmann 17:11, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

- Neutral I know the situation in europe during the past and provide my support for all community based languages.
- I am in contact with a professional slawist on the german wikipedia. He asked me: Who should contribute texts to a wikipedia of a nearly unknown language?
--Peter Littmann 13:01, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose - It's an extinct langauage as Gerard said above. I also don't see any signs of a large group of people who can write in this language and will be interested to join. Jeroenvrp 16:53, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose While I do not essentially oppose wikis in extinct languages, I think an extinct language should either be classical (like Latin) or be the subject of a revival movement (like Cornish). Polabian is neither, so I don't see what goals it might support. Steinbach (formerly Caesarion) 17:00, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose per above Baristarim 00:28, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- Support Polabian to recover -- MinionComma 20:35, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- Support There are a lot of Wikipedias in extinct languages, why Polabian not? Me, and a lot of other people, want to know MORE about this language. Polabian will nobody disturb! 89.48.134.51 22:20, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose For my knowledge the language is only preserved in three glossaries, that were collected shortly before the extinction of the language 250 years ago. I think, the word pool is too little for a Wikipedia. It is not possible to use the language without newly inventing big parts of it. --::Slomox:: >< 14:33, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
