Rusyn Wikipedia, new language for Wikipedia to contribute the Wikipedia project, and also to present the Rusyn language as a part of the family of Slavic languages.
Arguments in favour
Rusyn language is a native language of Rusyns, which are widely recognized as a nation in Central-Eastern Europe and also in Serbia and Croatia. Rusyn Wikipedia would help this nation to present its language and it will also serve as a source of information for people who speak Rusyn as their native language.
Arguments against
Other discussion
- The code rue is for Rusyn, Carpathian [1] --OosWesThoesBes 06:53, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- I would support Carpathian Rusyn dialect as the main body of the language. Pannonian Rusyn is a minor dialect of this much widely spoken language.--Nxx 13:33, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
- Also this [2] page says the 'rue' ISO code corresponds to the Ukrainian Rusyn, not Pannonian.--Nxx 15:11, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
