None of the Tungusic languages has its own Wikipedia ; they are almost all extinct, except Evenki (29,000 speakers ; « Ethnologue report » reports : « Language use : Vigorous. They maintain native language and customs. It has official regional recognition in China. ») and Xibe (30,000 speakers ; « taught as a second language »).

Arguments in favour

edit

Let the Evenks living in Russia, Mongolia and China that this request is waiting for them ! --Budelberger 15:23, 14 December 2008 (UTC) ( ).[reply]

Arguments against

edit

What is the point of requesting a project if nobody is there to support it ? Thanks, GerardM 16:02, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are alone, they are 29,000… They live in Russia, Mongolia and China, and none of the Wikipedias had a link to the Evenki test in their « Evenki language » article. I ask mn, sah etc. Wikipedia to create this article with this link. You don't like foreign languages, I love them. --Budelberger 16:45, 14 December 2008 (UTC) ( ).[reply]
It appears you have your research wrong on GerardM... Siebrand 17:42, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
