Arguments in favourEdit

  • There are several differences between Brazilian-Portuguese and Portuguese-Portuguese, not just in the way certain words are spelled but also in the overall syntax of sentences.
  • When you create an account on Wikipedia you can choose on your control panel between br-portuguese and pt-portuguese so why shouldn't that choice be extended throughout the actual contents of the Wikipedia itself.

Arguments againstEdit

The code pfl is not for European Portuguese, it is for Pfaelzisch. "European Portuguese" is not a language yet, it is just a variety of Portuguese. Jesielt 23:47, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
