Arguments in favour

Alot of books in the zh-wikibooks, which i think is mainly for mandarin, are written in classical chinese. i simply propose we create this so we can move them here. one does not need knowledge of reading classical chinese because we can just transfer the material to this one大天王皇子 23:30, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Arguments against

As the proposer said, "Alot of books in the zh-wikibooks, which i think is mainly for mandarin, are written in classical chinese." It is false and without any evidence. In reality, most of the Classical Chinese books have been put in the "Chinese Wikisource" (Not wikibooks!). That's what my reason. The open or closure of any project is not decided by one person only. The fact is that Only Wikisource wikis in ancient or historical languages are accepted, so this request could be closed right now. I concur with Bloodmerchant. I don't see this as a feasible proposal due to the fact that no one can write wikibooks in this language.

This article should be moved to: Requests for new languages/Wikisource Classical Chinese.
