Requests for comment/Use the Wikipedia brand for all projects

The following request for comments is closed. no traction as a proposal

I have seen this being brought up many times, from Wiktionary logo !votes to the Knowledge Engine FAQ. The idea: extend the "Wikipedia" brand to cover all sister projects (Wikipedia Dictionary, Wikipedia Textbooks, Wikipedia Quotes, etc.). The URLs would be straightforward:,,, etc. I would also propose creating/reopening a full set of sisterprojects for every existing Wikipedia, and creating projects in every language with translation files in the Mediawiki software (en-gb, en-ca, avk, etc.). 1. Symbol oppose vote oversat.svg Strong oppose we should do the opposite and support more the sister projects, otherwise they will just become secondary services of WP in people's heads. --CreativeC (talk) 13:03, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
