Requests for comment/Russian Arbcom obliges an user to report his sockpuppets to arbitrators

Good evening.

Russian Arbitration Committee today decided in section 5 of decision to forbid creation of sockpuppets for half year and to oblige me to report arbitrators and checkusers about sockpuppets next half year.

If sockpuppets can legitimely be created for example, for security and privacy reasons, not violating rules, is any Arbitration Committee eligible to forbid this? --Jaroslavleff 19:18, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm really not sure what Meta can do here, this isn't a project coordination issue. MBisanz talk 14:49, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
While it hardly counts as precedent, the Arbcom at English Wikipedia has done such actions previously. I cannot find where this would be a violation of the wmf:Privacy policy, so the Foundation would have no issue with the matter. Your only other possibility would be taking the matter up with the Russian Arbcom itself. Kylu 01:59, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
