The Moldovan Wiktionary should be closed because it's being used as a replacement for the now closed Moldovan Wikipedia. Activity is very low and there's only 3 legitimate content pages which could probably be moved to the incubator. -- Prince Kassad 16:50, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

- I'm afraid this wiki must be closed. As noted by the nominator, there are only 3 valid dictdefs and 5 articles copied from now-closed Moldovan Wikipedia ([1] [2] [3] [4] [5]). Since the beginning this wiki had seen only one user adding some content and lots of vandalism and spambots. This wiki is dead. Dead things are buried, as I heard. MaxSem 17:23, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

- Support No sense to have an Moldovan Wiktionary. Romanian and Moldovan are identical, even according to the law of the Republic of Moldova, that states that Moldovan is only another name for the Romanian language. See en:Moldovan language for further details and sources from the law of Moldova. On the same criteria Moldovan Wikipedia was closed. Danutz 19:43, 28 August 2007
- I don't disagree with this decision, as the Wiki was clearly inactive, however I do object to your comments, Danutz. I advise you to remember the comments of GerardM on behalf of the language committee regarding the Moldovan Wikipedia and its possible future reopening. --Node ue 13:03, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Oppose closing edit
- Oppose It is very inconsiderate and premature to close the section in the Moldovan language (Cyrillic alphabet). It is still official in the republic of Transnistria. Whether or not the republic itself is reconized it has existed for 17 years and is unlikely to vanish in the near future. Also, most moldovans in the naighboring Ukraine (a 300,000 strong minority) use mostly the cyrillic script. Low levels of activity that the project had earlier is explained by low levels of internet usage in the rural regions of Eastern Europe but this is likely to change in the near future. 68.157.65.137 14:17, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
