Project birthdates

See also Death anomalies table (June 2010)

Using the bot I am now checking the dates of birth and death of people on Wikipedia, in particular whether they differ between the various languages. Those that I find that differ, will be shown here. I am working from the Dutch Wikipedia, so that's where I'll link to; for each person are given the data that differ and what they are in a number of languages. Six or more languages may be abbreviated to 'many'. If you get linked here from an edit summary, it means that there was a difference and I (or someone else) is of the opinion that your language was the one that was wrong.

Everyone is invited to help working on this list by taking one or more of the issues, and finding which one is correct. If you are able to do so, you can change the languages that are wrong, and then announce the issue as resolved. If not, specify which one is correct, and leave the changing to others. Please, when working on this take great care before correcting - we do not want issues to be resolved by getting the same wrong information on all languages! Also, the bot has not always found the data in all languages, so it might be useful to check the languages not mentioned here when correcting.

Some explanations:

  • If a date is between brackets, some languages give the date while others give the year without a date.
  • JG means that there is a difference that seems to have been caused by some languages using Julian and other Gregorian dates (or both)
