Orientation & Training session of Environmental Activists in Satara on 13th February 2017

Scope edit

The goal of this orientation & training session was to build resources in the field of Biodiversity & environment on Marathi Wikipedia and equip its participants with the process of contributing to Wikipedia. Another focus of the session was to develop village articles.

Objectives edit

  1. To introduce Wikipedia as an encyclopedia for outreach and training content reference.
  2. To Promote Marathi Wikipedia Community & promote the use of regional languages in Wikipedia.
  3. To have an open interaction with community on local issues & knowledge.
  4. To spread the awareness of Wikipedia as a powerful tool.
  5. To develop communities of interest in 'Environment Sector'
  6. To develop articles on Biodiversity & environment related issues.
