Offline Reader

Introduction

This is a place to document the development of an offline reader for Wikipedia. A first implementation will (probably) be done by Students of the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences.

Discussions about matters for offline client as well as other implementations happen on the Wiki-offline-reader-l list.

Main Goals in a Nutshell

• Platform independant
• Fast on old hardware (Low RAM, CPU)
• Fulltext search
• Easily shipable on with content CD/DVD
