Nepal-India Wiki-Friendship Edit-a-thon is an online cultural exchange project involving Wikimedians of Nepal and India. Recently there is an ongoing political turmoil going on between Nepal and India, which have deteriorated the relationship between the two friendly neighbouring countries and their people. But, no matter what happens in the political scenario, Wikimedia communities of both the countries will always uphold the spirit of friendship, respect and empathy to each other. Wikimedians from all over the world always have looked beyond nationalistic perspective, as a true international community despite all geopolitical differences and worked together collaboratively as a global community to deliver free and open knowledge for all. The Wikimedians from both Nepal and India carry the same beacon of light. This Online Edit-a-thon project will help reveal the true nature of the deep friendship and respect and also strengthen the bonds between the communities of these age-old friends.
