"there's no such a "global rename" feature yet"Edit

Is this still true? The "yet" implies that the consensus is that it is a good idea and will be developed - so is there a bugzilla for this? --Dweller (talk) 10:48, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[]

From what I know, such a feature is indeed under development, but I don't know if there is any bug about it. --MF-W 13:57, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[]
The code for this tool is not yet approved. Yet users come to this page and to SRUC asking for "global renames" which are not possible right now, and can only be achieved in some cases by manual renaming wiki-per-wiki; which is a pain. Best regards. -- MarcoAurelio (talk) 16:21, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[]
Yes, it's still true that it's not yet done; it's bug 14862, and there's initial code here which currently doesn't have an owner, sadly. See m:Admin tools development for more details about work. Jdforrester (WMF) (talk) 18:06, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[]
