Mardetanha's removal seems to have been based on a confusion of edits with logged actions

The policy states that minimum 10 logged actions required to retain rights in the past 6 months. This abridged log shows 10 blocks alone all logged actions, so upon what was the criteria for removal based? If it is edits, they do not reflect the words of the policy. I would suggest that the rights are returned on this occasion as the user complies, and if the policy is meant to say edits, then that is corrected via community consultation. — billinghurst sDrewth 12:06, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

I quote:

"Users who have made fewer than ten edits in the six months immediately before the removal date (April 1 or October 1) are desysopped without notice."

and:

"Users who have made more than ten edits but fewer than ten actions requiring admin privileges in the same period are given a week to indicate they would like to retain their access. Users in this category are to be notified on the first day, and adminship is removed without notice on the seventh day if there is no response."

Mardetanha falls in the first category (fewer than ten edits in the six months before the removal date); he had 8 iirc. Trijnsteltalk 21:45, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
