Why is this user awesome? Freddy2001 is a very active user despite her young age. She not only edits on the de.wp and uploads many pictures of good and high quality on commons, but she also does a lot to promote young people within the movement and to promote the movement to young people. Rob has been an unparalleled contributor at Wikipedia:WikiProject Resource Exchange/Resource Request, helping users such as myself access offline, undigitized, and otherwise inaccessible articles. Aside for enabling editors to do better work, this help also lets the encyclopedia expand to its most underserved areas (since most underserved areas have the hardest-to-find sourcing).

Why is this user awesome? Chinese sysop in Commons and Chinese Wikivoyage. He is also an excellent bot operator, he cloned FlickreviewR, which was originally operated by Bryan in Toolserver. Without the FlickreviewR clone, the Flickr review backlog would be huge that it would need a lot of human license reviewers to maintain it. Zhuyifei1999 has also cloned Picasa Review Bot. His most important work for me is his Embedded Data Bot, which automatically delete images with embedded data or reupload a version without the embedded data. Without this bot, the admins at Commons would be struggling with the Wikipedia Zero pirates! He really deserves a t-shirt. In addition, he has created Video2Commons and several other great tools.

Why is this user awesome?

Pranayraj not only started the 100wikidays challenge, he continued after the 100th article... Okay, some people have been recorded to do it. His next goal was 365wikidays, and he completed this one successfully, too (read this blog post!... and this one!)... But this was not enough for him: he went on to the next level of 500wikidays. And it seems that this is not the end, he keeps writing an article a day, and sometimes even more than one. :) Pranayraj is totally awesome and a role model for following!

Why is this user awesome? Oshwah's been diligently swinging a mop for years. On 5 May he got hit with a sock-puppeteer who used perhaps a dozen accounts to attack Oshwah as well as impugn other editors (all since revdel'd). Oshwah's effort to quickly block abusive editors and erase the horrible things they said, all while remaining cool and collected, is what we most need admins for. I think WMF ought to buy Oshwah a car but since they won't do that, at least give the man a t-shirt. Support

Why is this user awesome? A relatively new user (one year registered) who shows great energy and learning curve to assist the encyclopedia. He earned a lot of good vibes during this and he is recently elected as admistrator on the Dutch Wikipedia.

Why is this user awesome? Hi greetings, I would like to nominate User:Barkeep49 for this recognition. Barkeep49 is one of the most hard working administrators in English Wikipedia. Their works are mainly focused on New Page Reviewing process in Wikipedia. They are now serving as the NPP coordinator of Wikipedia. Also, serving as a mentor in NPP School. They help so many users in Wikipedia without any hesitation and continuing the mentoring of several new reviewers and users in Wikipedia. This user have already trained several New Page Patrollers in enwiki. The have devoted themselves to sustained and selfless voluntary service. Why is this user awesome? This user contributes to the Italian Wikipedia in a way quite nobody can do.

They write articles about linguistics, and write incredible philological reconstructions. This is what we can call denstributing free culture.

Cicognac wrote the longest article on the Italian Wikipedia (it:ricostruzione filologica dei sinogrammi più diffusi), then divided to make it more readable. They has been thanked from the community for this, in it:Discussioni_utente:Cicognac#Glazie_'_'.

Nobody can belive how much they are able to write, as example see this.

Just by watching their stats, you can notice how hard they work.

They also offer help to newcomers ( it:Discussioni_utente:Cicognac#Sono_nuovo,_aiuto!), and propose changes to our rules opening interesting discussions.

Today is Christmas, and I think Cicognac deserves a Christmas gift for their contributions.
