About the meetup edit

This is intended to include any interested Wikimedians who find themselves in Glasgow or can make their way to Glasgow on the day. Anyone who has attended previous meetups in Glasgow or Edinburgh encouraged to return to meet new faces! This is a social gathering for Wikimedia enthusiasts. Where we...

  • Chat about Wikipedia, Wikimedia and any other topics we fancy. How to grow the community in Scotland, anyone? What kind of events would we like to see in the future?
  • Eat dinner and drink some beers (although beer isn't required, nor is dinner)

It's mainly a casual social event. You can expect to meet some very keen Wikipedians, however this is also an open invitation to anyone interested in finding out more about Wikipedia, other Wikimedia projects, projects re-using Wikipedia, and other collaborative wiki projects. Feel free to come along!

Location edit

The Drum & Monkey 91 St. Vincent Street Glasgow G2 5TF

The Drum & Monkey is in central Glasgow, easy to find from either Central or Queen Street. They serve real ale and bar food, and have wifi from O2.

Spotting us edit

We will most likely be buried in laptops, tablets, smartphones, and any other portable internet-accessible devices there might be. We will also have a ScotWiki tabletop banner so we should be pretty noticeable!
