MedinaPedia Fkhakhria is a new project of the series MedinaPedia. Carthagina and Dar Ben-Gacem partnered to document the history of Tunisian ceramic.

The project idea started from the names of the rooms of Dar Ben Gacem - Kahia and the private collection of Mr Hamida Ben-Gacem. The rooms in Dar Ben-Gacem are named after master potters with important contributions to the history of Tunisian pottery.

It consists of gathering information about the history of the pottery, photographing the unique authentic pieces to digitize the historical richnesses and show them to the world of virtual collective knowledge.

These meetings will take place in Dar Ben-Gacem - Kahia and other ateliers of master potters. The partners will provide the MedinaPedia Fkhakhria team with the necessary logistical support and will give them access to the information available in their library and allow them to take pictures of the collections.

We will host a series of public and private workshops about the history of ceramic, Wikimedia Commons, Wikipedia and other Wikimedia tools that can promote the goal of the project: documenting and sharing free knowledge.
