Maithili Wikimdians Event

Photowalk Event in Chitwan is an event organized by Maithili Wikimedians User Group in Chitwan National Park to increase the reach of Wikimedia Commons by introducing new contributors as well as new photographers to the team. Basically Photowalk is a communal activity of camera enthusiasts who gather in a group to walk around with a camera for the main purpose of taking pictures of things that interest them.

Chitwan National Park is the first national park of Nepal, established in 1973 as the Royal Chitwan National Park and was granted the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984. The team members of Maithili Wikimedians User Group along with 5 local and 2 professional photographers roamed around the park to click photos of Mammals and Birds.
