Maithili Wikimedians User Group/Events/Women Edit-a-thon 2016 Felicitation Program

Maithili Wikipedia Women Edit-a-thon 2016 is a local online as well offline Edit-a-thon competition organized by Maithili Wikimedians in Maithili Wikipedia on the auspicious occasion of International Women's Day to acquire specially the women's participation in the creative works.

Maithili Wikimdians Event

To felicitate the winners of the Women Edit-a-thon, Maithili Wikimedians organize an event on 8^th March, 2016. This open event was attended by around 100 participants. Most of the participants were from schools and colleges of Saptari District. The Purpose of the event was to make people (specially women) aware of Wikipedia and to introduce them to the uses of Wikipedia, Wikipedia editing and awareness.
